Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 7th inning: Abingdon - 26 Cave Spring - 27 FINAL Good Lord, this is BASEBALL?! It's unbelievable that the baseball team could outscore the football team. I'd love to hear more about this game. Were there just no arms available? Were there just no arms available? Don't know anything about the Knights pitchers, but Abingdon's coaches elected to use only reserve pitchers in the second game. Some who hadn't pitched in quite a while, until the bottom of the 7th when a starter was brought in to close out the game. One of the reserves was Cody Haun and he did and exceptional job pitching. Believe he will turn into a fine pitcher for the Falcons. Also, the wind may have played a role as to the number of homeruns in both games. According to the announcers, it was helping to carry the ball and making it hard for the fielders to field some of the balls.
