redtiger 1,744 Report Share Posted June 29, 2012 (edited) So, if a LB starts 3 yards from the los and moves up toward the los/ballcarrier after the snap can he be cut? Or, can a Olinemen take 1-2 steps downfield then cut a LB? Thanks Stripes Edited June 29, 2012 by redtiger
1inStripes 935 Report Share Posted June 29, 2012 If a LB starts off the LOS he cannot be cut....period. Technically, I guess your second question could be possible, but very unlikely. If a LB steps up to the LOS before the ball is snapped and kind of holds a read there, and the ball never leaves the box, then yes an OL could technically step up field turn back and cut him. MavsRock 21 Report Share Posted July 8, 2012 James Monroe typically runs the pro-set, ran the shotgun spread a lil more in recent years. When they have a good line (which regretfully hasn't been this case the last couple of years) they often mix in the wing-t or even the T itself. Defense is usually the 5-2.
