tbgfan 856 Report Share Posted August 24, 2012 Game in delay with seconds left in 3rd as fireworks are going off as race haulers are going by DeVault Stadium. A momentum breaker as the Falcons had just gotten a 1st down

tbgfan 856 Report Share Posted August 24, 2012 (edited) Abingdon - 13 Va High - 16 FINAL With 5:30 in 4th Abingdon had a 3 & 25 at their own 5 yd line--Arnold connected with Josh Hess for a 35 yd reception to their 40 yd line. Abingdon continued to move the ball down to the Bearcats 34 yd line and then at the 3:38 mark Abingdon QB Arnold threw an interception to Bearcats Ramey. Bearcats then ran the clock out and was around the 10 yd line when game ended. If the Abingdon receivers and QB can connect they may surprise some this season. Also, the special teams needs work, the defense is their strong card now. dshreeves 37 Report Share Posted August 24, 2012 It was a very good game. Abingdon outplayed VHS. Lost the game because of mistakes. 2 blocked punts and 2 very costly interceptions. The Ludwig kid is one of the best punter/kickers i've seen on the high school level. We could use him in Knoxville now. Lol
V-Cats 472 Author Report Share Posted August 24, 2012 We played a very sloppy game, probably should've lost to be honest. Hopefully it was just opening week jitters and we'll be ready for JSB next week; we've got some unfinished business to take care of
