redtiger 1,742 Report Share Posted November 6, 2013 Last week Jeff Bowen set 2 Haysi rushing records. He set the single game rushing record with 323 yards, previous mark was set in '02 by Ryan Rose who ran for 274 against Hurley(with yours truly clearing the way). Bowen also set the Haysi single season rushing record with 1,761 yards, previous mark was set by Blaine Hackney in'96(?) with just over 1,500 yards. Jeff also had 6 TDs. 1,700 yards doesn't seem like a lot but at a school that throws the ball as much as Haysi that's a lot of yards Overall a very impressive night, even if it was against subpar competition. Another thing worth noting is that after the game both teams got together on the field and prayed together. Something very special imo, espicially considering Kentucky has banned official post game handshakes because of repeated unsportsmanlike behavior by various teams. wave316 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
