GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted February 17, 2014 Anyone else find it "odd" that the #3 car won the pole??? Really beginning to think NASCAR has become WWE on wheels...

Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted February 17, 2014 Never been LESS excited for a NASCAR season. Almost an ironclad lock that NASCAR will rig a title for Austin Dillon.
Ryan4VT 4,557 Report Share Posted February 17, 2014 You guys are looking too far into it. That 3 car that he's in is the same 29 car that dominated speed weeks last year
Rhschamps04 15 Report Share Posted February 19, 2014 I am starting to believe more and more that it may be fixed.
mavsgrad 28 Report Share Posted February 19, 2014 I've watched Nascar for over 20 years and the quality of racing has certainly declined and I don't like Nascar nearly as much today as I used to but thinking Nascar rigged qualifying to get the #3 on the pole is a stretch. All of the RCR cars were fast, including RCR affiliated cars like Martin Truex. Also there is no way you can rig a car to win a pole on a 2 1/2 mile track and still have the guys behind him within a couple hundredths of a second of his time. It might be a fun conspiracy to talk about but it's not realistic. Plus if Nascar was in the business of rigging things then Dale jr. would have won far more races over the past few years than he has. HurricaneWarning 212 Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 I do find it odd but Nascar has always worked it's magic with Chevrolet.

Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 And the exhaustively long NASCAR season has begun. Is it me, or does Daytona get weather-related delays much more than it used to?
mavsgrad 28 Report Share Posted February 25, 2014 Yes, I'm sure the fact that Junior had 6 prior restrictor plate points race wins before yesterday, had finished runner up in 3 of the past 4 Daytona 500's, and that two of his team mates finish in the top 5 along with him had nothing to do with his victory. Nascar planned the whole thing. Man, you would think with Nascar being so good at fixing outcomes they could have at least orchestrated a 1-2 finish for Junior and the #3 and maybe have even gotten Danica in the top 5..... GMan 3,569 Author Report Share Posted February 25, 2014 It isn't hard to give certain teams a "competitive advantage" is NASCAR chose to do so. That's why all the cars are the "same" now, NASCAR now has more control over everything that happens on the track.
GMan 3,569 Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2014 Watched a show on Friday about the Top 10 finishes at Daytona...lots of ironic, coincidences at that track over the years...
