LongTimeSWVAFan 36 Report Share Posted December 22, 2015 Gate City plays Tennessee High and Radford plays Martinsville. Anybody have thoughts on either of these?
West12aaa 99 Report Share Posted December 22, 2015 Gate city "should" win, if they are to keep up with union. I don't know enough about Martinsville to make an educated guess.
Bearcat Bob 491 Report Share Posted December 22, 2015 Just curious but what does a game v. THS have to do with GC keeping up with Union? It is an out of state, non-conference, non-district game. Looks good on the "resume" but little else. Packman

Looks good on the "resume" but little else.Union won , common opponent. Looks good on the rankings, will play a factor with seeding and setup their 2-3 game series vs each other. Both are locks as far as the tourney goes, but as union saw in football home "field" court has its perks Don't know about vhs, but there was a big difference playing at Tw than Castlewood/clincho
pdfan 101 Report Share Posted December 22, 2015 Should be a good one tonight in Martinsville. The Dogs return 6 of there top 7 players from last years state championship team, but Radford handed Mavahi one of their losses last year 50-49 on 2 free throws with a couple of seconds left. Should be a good battle inside between the 6'8" exchange student and Martinsville's 6'7" returning 2A player of the year Devonnte Holland. GC_Devils 38 Report Share Posted December 22, 2015 Gate City and TN High has been a little hot and cold early and GC got a couple of starters banged up in the Abingdon game, so I have no clue what to expect tonight in GC. Been really impressed with Union early. Knew they'd be great but they're off to a really solid start. The Martinsville/Radford game should be great. I'd have to guess Martinsville will eventually pull it out, but both teams are really solid.
