Bluefield researcher 1,197 Report Share Posted October 10, 2017 May he rest in peace. I never met the man but doing the research on his teams and reading his quotes kinda made me feel like I knew him. 1970 02-08-0 .200 Pennington 1971 09-01-0 .900 Pennington 1972 07-03-0 .700 Pennington 1973 07-03-0 .700 Pennington 1974 08-03-0 .727 Pennington 1975 07-03-0 .700 Pennington 1976 11-02-1 .821 Pennington 1977 06-04-1 .591 Pennington 1978 05-05-0 .500 Pennington 1979 04-05-1 .450 Pennington 1980 04-06-0 .400 Coeburn 1981 02-08-0 .200 Coeburn 1982 07-02-1 .750 Coeburn 1983 08-03-0 .727 Pennington 1984 10-03-0 .769 Pennington 1985 07-04-0 .636 Pennington 1986 06-04-0 .600 Pennington 1987 12-01-0 .923 Pennington 1988 10-03-0 .769 Pennington 1989 10-02-0 .833 Lee 1990 12-02-0 .857 Lee 1991 10-03-0 .769 Lee 1992 05-06-0 .455 Lee 1997 07-06-0 .538 Lee 1998 08-03-0 .727 Lee 183-93-4 .
jarhead24219 440 Report Share Posted October 10, 2017 such a old school coach, I played at PV , he was well respected but hated in a friendly type of way, hell he used to fire us up hearing him get on his boys. The greatest statement about PV and CLINTWOOD came from him after PENNINGTON GAP had lost in the finals, he said we should have won because we beat two better teams in PV and CLINTWOOD.He loved kids , if you made a good play you would hear him shout your number and say good play or good block so and so
