Osborne fouls out playing approx. 8 total minutes of the game. Bunch charged at least twice possibly 3 times and got blocking calls on every one.  Same ref that tossed Williams made majority of these calls.

Union played poorly, think not playing for so long led to rust. Basketball is so bad here right now, the Union team last year would smoke this bunch.

Abingdon just turns it over way too much to be highly successful right now.

Union better be finding a bench, can’t play 6 kids only.

Osborne did play majority of first quarter but had 2 fouls in first 5 minutes.  Played less than 3 minutes in second quarter before picking up third.  Played less than 4 minutes in third before picking up fourth foul and fouled out with 4:30 left in game.  One of his fouls should have been a charge call and his final foul on Bunch was a joke call.  Whether it cost the game or not, playing without Ramsey and effectively losing our other top scorer were huge disadvantages in this game.  Team foul counts are not relevant.  These teams play very different styles and the situations in which fouls are called tell more of a story.  Union did their job, congrats on the win, just hate that it played out the way it did

Team foul calls are always relevant. It shows that one side was called for infractions just a little less than the other side. You can argue the situations but the overall count matters. Playing without Ramsey put Abingdon behind the 8-ball from the start but it seems like the officiating also didn't favor their style.

Foul total comparisons are not always relevant

Take for example a small perimeter based team playing against a larger physical team.   Small team will foul more trying to fight on defense against the larger team while they don't put themselves in position to draw fouls on offense.   This example would be the extreme variance but most games will have a mixture of this and may not warrant an even foul total.   In addition to this, officials are notorious for calling a bunch of quick touch fouls late in each half to close the gap on foul totals on paper.

Just my opinions

That's true to an extent, the current Warriors will never foul like the 90s Knicks, but the styles from Union and Abingdon aren't that dissimilar.

Your last statement is absolutely true and drives me nuts. A kid gets hammered early in the first half quarter, no call, and then a kid breathes on someone in the late 2nd and gets a flagrant. It's ridiculous.
