Bluefield_Rules 46 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 WVVA just reported there is the possibility and "significant accumulation" is possible. Should make for another great playoff game at Mitchell Stadium huh? lol
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 I wanted to watch Graham-Gretna, anyway; I think the snow makes it twice as great. It's a bit of tough luck, because I'm out of town until the 13th. However, that gives me as much concern for Graham, because the elements have not given Graham much help over the last two years (2001-Harrisonburg; 2002-Grundy). I'm not sayin' that Graham could've/should've won those games, but I am sayin' that it may be a bad omen.

sandman 13 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 That can be the battle cry. Remember the "Snow Game". Lee Grimes baby. Forever linked to one of my favorite football moments.
Sources 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 The snow could work in Graham's favor and hamper Gretna's speed and passing game.
Deleted Account 5,203 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 That very thing occurred to me after I posted. Hall and Moon (QB and RB) are great players, who can carry the load for Gretna, but the snow may very well hamper their abilities. The elements can work both ways. gmenfootball 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 Now they are talking about ice and rain Thursday and Friday and snow sat.,we cant complain about that..lol
Bluefield_Rules 46 Author Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 I'll complain about the ice, which isn't needed. Ice leads to downed trees and powerlines, which leads to people being without power and heat in the bitter cold. In addition, ice also leads to the worst road conditions possible... Guest MagicMan Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 In West TN, we only got ice storms... I'd take several feet of snow over ice anyday.
Lance 228 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 bad part is around here you get freezing rain first...then ice...then several feet of snow...lmao. Â hat trick.
gmenfootball 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 Looks like it is on the way.I read on va preps that if it gets real bad up here in Bluefield,Graham vs Gretna could get pushed back to sunday..
jmarcum 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 Whats the deal with you folks and snow. Both teams have to play in it. If it would hamper the speed of Gretna it would hamper the speed of Graham. Passing is the only thing usually affected by snow but we all know Hall can run or pass. This game will not be decided by snow but by the players on the field. Sources 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 No one said the game would be decided by the weather, only that it could have a direct effect on how the game is played, and thus won.
gmenfootball 10 Report Share Posted December 3, 2003 Gretna throws more than they run, they throw the ball 65 percent of the time, your right, Hall can throw and run very well...
