they keep talking about us like their afraid? is it because deep down they know what would happen!

[/ QUOTE ]

The talk of Richlands being afraid of Salem is coming from Tazewell folks. The closest analogy I can think of would be Roanoke College hoops fans saying that North Carolina is afraid of Duke.

Give those kind of comments the weight they deserve, which isn't much. Tazewell's basically the answer to a question that absolutely nobody is asking right now.

And please have your AD call ours and set something up. I'd love to see a Richlands-Salem series on a regular basis.

I wouldnt compare the Richlands-Salem series to a duke-unc series......in the Duke-UNC series the games can go either way......between richlands and salem, it seems that the games have always went one way......

Richlands may have beaten Salem this year, but I doubt in the long run the series would be very close. The talent pool in that area (Roanoke) is just too deep.

Richlands has had their years, the planets just lined up like that. Every small school has years where they just dominate, and then other years where they are horrible.

Richlands may dominate now, but I am sure in a few years they will have another string of horrible seasons.

That is just how small town football happens to be.

They've only played twice with each team winning once. This was explained to you last night but you chose to ignore it and keep talking trash just like you ignored the explanation about why Richlands dropped to D3. Your sole purpose on this board is to bait people into an argument. That makes you a troll...

Disagree. As long as the RHS coaches, the youth coaches, the parents and the people of this town keep doing what they do then the kids will have a chance to be successful.

Zach, you don't do what these kids have done when your afraid of any team. You being from Salem should understand that. I would love to see a series with Salem and I don't know a single person from Richlands who wouldn't.

However, the one win for Richlands was a little tainted. LOL

What would you know about it, and what difference would it make anyway? If you'll pardon the pun, you don't even have a dog in this fight.

Probably best for you to leave the football talk alone and stick with.... well.... whatever the heck Tazewell might be competitive in.

Cheers.

I don't know, BigD. Let's assume that our posting neighbor here is a Tazewell graduate. That means he's at a disadvantage to begin with. Maybe if we type really slowly.... Or have someone like Calvin Talford read the message board to him.....

Besides, this is kind of fun. I haven't given Tazewell any thought at all for at least a couple of months. In a way, it's gratifying to know that they're still around.

I dont see why you would want to type slowly....wasnt it Richlands who had the administrators changing grades one year to keep players on the field?? Yes, i do think so! And if you get upset over people mentioning the cleats then dont mention the win over salem as a legit win bc it wasnt by any means a legit win.

Just face it, RHS will never be competitive year in and year out with salem, it just wont happen. Maybe a few years RHS will only get beat by a touchdown or two(2004) but in most years it will be by 21 or more. So, in an educated sense, taking the bonehead move(cleats) of 1992, RHS has never beat Salem. It would be nice if they could. I hate that salem recruits players and we dont have that advantage down here.

Be realists here guys, teams from here just dont measure up to those teams that recruit in the eastern parts of the state. Every once in a bluemoon it happens. Congrats on winning the state title but jump back off your self imagined pedestal and lets be smart football fans.

Well since you want to bring up legit wins heres one of my favorites and probably everyone elses on this board the stomping of the puppies from tazewell 61-0.

[/ QUOTE ]

that was a legit win! well, as of now it was, since it was against richlands i'm sure someone should do some investigating into it but hey it may be a clean win.

Here's some more legit wins....Tazewell holds the all-time series advantage over RHS. Think about that for a while.

yea but how many of them were as bad as the last one the one that most folks will remember for along long time.

[/ QUOTE ]

alot of people will remember it, i'm sure. I know i will. I have to put up with richlands fans everyday. It was a tough loss bc in no way, shape or form is rhs 61 pts better than ths. so thats what makes it suck the most.

in 2003, a 1-9 tazewell team's only win was against richlands 12-10. lol....and wasnt rhs pretty good that year?
