JV teams in the SWVA

Yeah, Lebanon has a huge freshman class, not many sophomores though maybe 10 or 12, just a guess, have'nt counted them. Maybe that was the deal with Honaker the other night, they had to use who they had, that's a whole different story. I hope they'll be able to get their numbers back up, they're too good of a program for kids to lose interest. Good luck

I go to a lot of JV games the all time most impressive JV team has to go to Honkaer. I'm not from Honaker but they always have hard hitters. The varsity would be great if Newberry boy would quarterback and if the had a field goal kicker.

There a lot of schools around here that hold back athletes. Honaker usually only holds back a few. Except for this year's juniors, about 15 of which are hold backs, but a lot of them held back just 'cause their buddies did.

I think Rural Retreat's JV team would be one of the best in SWVA if so many had not moved up to varsity..they still have a good team..but 3/4 of the starters are freshman..and they only have 16 players. They defeated Northwood last week 34-6 and Abingdon the week before that 20-14.
