How does Martinsville look this year?

Much improved from last year that is for sure. The true test will be this weekend when Heritage comes to town. I'll just go out on a limb and say that they will be seen in the playoffs this year. Not much competition to get in the D-3 playoffs this year with just 6 teams going for the 4 spots. I can't really say where they are in the PD right now as in a position but they are definitely in the top three, we'll see how it goes but it should definitely be a winning season for the dogs this year! BTW, this is coming from a die-hard Magna Vista fan, but I try not to put bias on my posts.

not always wise to compare like opponents...however, i saw martinsville completely dominate rustburg in mhs's first game of the season (rhs had already played a game). and then this past week...bassett, whose coaches were at the mhs/rhs game scouting, narrowly escaped with a win against the red devils. anyhow, i thought mhs would be good, but still noticeably behind both magna vista and bassett in the piedmont...but now i'm not so sure about that. mvhs and bassett are also senior laden while most of mhs's players are still just sophs and juniors. anyhow, just some ramblings...should be interesting to see.
