Stupid question...If the rankings are in that order when the season ends, who will Richlands play in the first round?

Forgive my ignorance. I've just never paid much attention to the VHSL system.

dont know yet because the va high vs marion game is going to affect both div 3 and div 4...

#1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3.

Probably wont know for another 3 weeks who is where in Div 3 and Div 4 should know in two weeks.

Yeah, but they will probably win out! martinsville may win, but they are probably the favorite in the rest of their games. Petersburg (L) and GW Danville (L) are big schools! William fleming (L) is good! Lost to Bassett 10-7!

Not saying it is right or wrong, just a probability! cool.gif

Also only playing 9 games may actually help them! Sounds weird, huh?

Yes they playes sum big games, but if they were to have pulled it off against Basset it probly would have locked it for them seeing how they could win out....but if marion wins their district and richlands will in all likely hood win district here and then basset whens out...even if Magna Vist did win out now they wouldnt make it, IF i am figuring correctly!

Having nine games WILL NOT hurt them...their point total will be divided by nine, not ten...it actually may help them, if they did have a 10th game and lost it, it would definitely hurt their chances at the post season...

not if they keep losing...they will need the 10th game points to bring the avg up...that's how it hurts them. They won't make it...they could drop 4 but not 5...with a 10th game and a win it could bring them up enough, but without it they are screwed. Marion will win the Highlands and it's over.

Why not, hell's bell's the way Division IV is shaping up in this region, it dosen't matter how many games a team loses. 0-6 is the same as 0-13, they're still in. The "Region" system in this state has become so convoluted that it's a joke except, for the fact that it's actually the policy that we have to live with.
