CarrollCavs78 10 Report Share Posted October 31, 2004 Does anyone know anything about the team William bird? Carroll County will open against Floyd and then play them. TheAlpha 10 Report Share Posted November 1, 2004 Richlands used to play them in the late 80s (maybe early 90s if my memory is poor) I recollect. They are a team who is usually non-competitive in their district and region but can occasionally can bring a hard game. Normally considered a "free one" by the likes of Salem, Northside, and Bburg. CougarFan 10 Report Share Posted November 1, 2004 I doubt Salem would agree that Byrd is a "free one", considering that they had lost 3 in a row to Byrd before beating them this season. Last years loss to the Terriers ultimately cost Salem a playoff spot. Byrd is generally a competitive team in a weak district (Blue Ridge).
