jbob1 10 Report Share Posted November 5, 2004 Well, I guess after all the talk this week from everybody, it finally comes down to tonight. The bearcats vs. the golden wave. Grundy really doesn't have much to lose, but va high has a lot to gain. If they win, they earn respect and a winning record. If they lose, well you all will have an advantage in the playoffs. So what I'm trying to say is it all comes down to tonight! Where two teams lay it on the line. Im sure the marcum brothers will come out with something to fight for bigtime, which would be there sister! Im glad to hear she is doing better. Anyway, trash talk is just something fun to do sometimes, but when the game is ready to happen, trash talk stops. Actions speak louder than words!!! Go Cats! GMan 3,569 Report Share Posted November 5, 2004 No, 5-5 is considered not to be a LOSING RECORD. .500 IS .500...you have not won more games than you've lost, therefore, you DO NOT have a winning record. Besides, even if you beat Grundy and make it to 5-5, you will still finish with a losing record for the year...5-6, one and done in the playoffs... Not won and lost the same number. We are going for .500 tonight. and more importantly a win against the #1 seed in the playoffs to send us into the playoffs with momentum. It's gonna happen.
