plooolt 10 Report Share Posted November 6, 2004 With Giles win over Floyd last night that gives Lebanon the #1 seed. Floyd will still probably get the #2 seed unless they lose to Radford next week. Giles is in as the #3 if they win next week against Glenvar. Grayson County is in as the #4 unless they lose to Bland/Rocky Gap (not going to happen). That means George Wythe will be sitting at home unless Grayson County loses. #1 Lebanon #2 Floyd #3 Giles #4 Grayson Does anyone know if their is any rule saying two teams from the same district can't play in the first round? trigger 10 Report Share Posted November 6, 2004 No such rule. Floyd actually beat Giles in the 1st round of 2001. If Giles were to lose to Glenvar then GW would get in over Giles as long as Floyd beat Radford. Floyd would then win TRD by points. Also, if Floyd were to lose to Radford, Floyd would still have a very good shot at outpointing GW. If Fort or Grayson lose, that would be all Floyd would need to out point GW. Fort and Grayson both can give GW 2 points with a win. GW needs all 4 of those points to out point Floyd in this situation.
