The big man is Lou Green. He and his brother, Zack Green, carried Logan last year, but Zack graduated. Bluefield played Logan in the state quarterfinals last year in Charleston and beat them by two points. Bluefield is playing in a holiday tournament at Logan next week and Logan will be coming to Bluefield to play Beaver late in the season.

I have never watched Bluefield play in basketball. Logan didnt really have much size, everybody was about the same height other than the center. They wore us out. It was our first preseason game and we had been in the gym 2 times. They have some good shooters though.

I'll be interested to see how Logan does this year b/c quite honestly, Zach Green carried that team in the majority of their games last year. He led them in every offensive category outside of rebounding, which Lou Green led them in that.

Bluefield plays a full-court man-to-man defense and usually does a lot of pressing. They like to run teams to death and wear them down. Offensively, they generally run a lot of motion and share the ball. Really, Bluefield does a lot of what a Roy Williams' coached team does on both ends of the floor. Size-wise this will be one of the bigger Bluefield teams since the mid-1990s with four starters at 6'2" or taller...

I think Logan's main defense is probably a 2-3. They were working on it before the game alot. They played a full court man to man pretty much the whole game against us because we were definatly not in any kind of basketball shape yet. Still hadnt made that transition from football season. A well conditioned, quick team with decent height I think will be able to handle them easily.
