Fort Chiswell has had 5 coaches in 7 seasons. Not a conducive environment for developing consistency with that level of turnover from program leadership.
We keep getting everyone else’s rejects. If they’d look for a coach that hasn’t been fired, we might stand a chance. Akers has already coached one Wythe County team and ran off after 1 season. There will never be another Coach James. They should have fought to keep him.
Still two months away. No big deal yet. If it were two weeks away now that would be an issue.
It sounds like a good plan and all. But the 2 games before and 2 games after homecoming are away games. Their best bet would be to find someone open on 11/8 that can come to the Fort.
I get that there are no rules against it. However, the games would only be a month apart and Bland was our last home game of the season and also Senior Night. I’m not sure how they will handle that, if they would schedule Senior night the week before against Graham and schedule an away game on 11/8 or if they’d want to keep it at home.
