Am I the only person that doesn't have any issue with kids transferring in middle school or even after 9th grade, but doing it after their JR years... that's something I just can't support or wrap my mind around(see EH31s post)
i dont see an issue with it if a kid moves to try and help his future out. For example, let's say Tim goes to school at Thomas Walker and is a sophmore and is one of the best pitchers around in baseball. How many scouts would he see at Thomas Walker in his future? Tim's dad gets a new job at the Eastman and they move to Kingsport, Tim plays baseball at Dobyn's Bennett as an outstanding pitcher. His chances as a D1 prospect skyrocket at this point
My advice, do NOT throw anywhere near Graves. Their secondary is scary good. Union had some success early with the power run, but Richland's doesn't do that very well.
Richlands should be more equipped to deal with the Appo O, Union was missing best defender in the conference and the lack of speed at LB outside of James really hurt Union. Appo isn't very complex just very good at what they do.
I feel like Jeb is the only person on Union's roster that could start for appomattox, James Mitchell would be pushing it
I would like to hope someone has a video of the Appomattox players holding arms marching down the field into the prayer circle they made at midfield. That was absolutely amazing
You best believe you have a whole town pulling for you guys. The amount of respect between these two schools, given the great series and rivalry, makes me proud to be part of it.
It's not only this week just for you to have a home game next week, but it's every week. We appreciate that. I was in Richlands last week, sporting a Bears shirt, stopped in a couple stores and had people comment "good luck in the playoffs". Absolutely, same to you.
Go get em Union, will be keeping up with the game and pulling hard for you guys !
The respect between these 2 programs not only on here, but facebook, twitterr feeds to and from each other, to the stands on football night. Never fails to amaze me.
