  1. I think the QB position for Union will be decided by the offensive style they think will best suit their players. I could see Bostic running an Anderson like offense next year. There's also the case for leaving him at WR, where he excelled, and going with a more pass heavy system using a different QB. Losing Anderson will be a tough hit for sure, but I'm more concerned with the losses on D. 3/4 on the D-Line and 2 VERY good inside backers.
  2. We have to wish Clements well on his way out first. We'll worry about the rest later. Haha True, many more battles to come between these 2!
  3. A few people bragged about Union's team speed, and it's true that this was probably the fastest overall team Union has fielded. However, it was obvious to me and most of the Union folks on this board that Graham was faster.
  4. Been that way since 2011 when the school formed. We've called TO's after just calling a TO, or after the other team just called a timeout, after change of possession, KOs, punts and end of quarters. We need a time management seminar.
  5. Graham made incredible adjustments from game 1 to 2. This is why everyone was quiet. Knew it was going to be a dog fight between 2 very evenly matched teams. Union could have come out in the 2nd half, gone up by 2 scores and forced Graham to play catch up, but blew it. Bears couldn't stop Clements. Worst line play all year. Credit GMen for that. I thought Union would matchup better with Radford, but I still think Graham wins. Glad Clements is graduating! Haha
  6. Bears had their chances and blew every one of them.
  7. Bears need a full 2 minutes to call a play! SMH
  8. That wasn't a holding call. The signal was similar, but he didn't call it holding. Not sure what it was. He made a motion with his elbow before the hand signal.
  9. That's what I'm seeing, along with a few other things.
  10. This is why I say that Wise Co nor M7 smack talk has anything on Tazewell Co smack talk! 👑👑😂
  11. I don't normally talk about teams unless I've seen them in person, but I've watched a lot of film on Radford and Appo. That's why I was confident that the Raiders wouldn't make it out of the region. For Radford, I keep seeing the same thing over and over, regardless of the opponent. That has boosted my confidence in a Union/Radford matchup, if they're fortunate enough to get past Graham. Glenvar definitely had a 2nd chance luxury that Graham/Union won't have. That's also what worries me about tomorrow... Graham's 2nd chance at the Bears.
  12. I'll admit that all the talk on Tazewell the last few years vs the playoff results had me doubting them this year, but seeing them in person changed my opinion completely. They're close, really close!
  13. You've seen Radford in person. I've only seen film. Are the Reg D folks too confident on their chances against the Bobcats?
  14. I've been watching Radford all year because of the hype around them, the QB and the coach. I never said Glenvar was a great team nor tough opponent. That's partially my point on Radford. If you watch the first game, Glenvar did not play to their strengths, they played to Radford's. It was very obvious, just watching on film, that Glenvar wasn't going to out athlete Radford. They tried to matchup and made lots of mistakes, got down early and wasn't built to play from behind. They learned from that, and you saw the results tonight. Alleghany did the exact same thing. Run for 3-7 yards a clip, and then get cute and try to pass. And their QB was not very good. Tazewell was a much better team than given credit. Unfortunately, I didn't watch much film at all on them, so I didn't know what to expect. With the right coaching and conditioning, I think that Tazewell had the players to beat both Graham and Union this year. Kind of reminds me of Graham in 15-17 with Richlands. They were much more talented than those scores suggested, but they turned the page in '18.
  15. A lot of people have been waiting for Radford to implode all season, but with their easy schedule it wasn't likely to happen in the regular season. Appo is not good this year. So, for Radford to only be winning by 8 in the 4th, I absolutely thought that might be their implosion game because a legit title contender should have been blowing out the Raiders at that point. As for Riverheads, there's no reason to pay much attention to them at this point. Union/Graham have to get past Saturday first, and then worry about Radford, not the Gladiators. That's why all the focus was on the Radford/Glenvar game. Union/Graham can worry about them in 2 weeks...if they get past Radford AND Riverheads gets past Poquoson.
  16. It was a one score game going into the 4th. Appo was weak on the line and didn't have the horses to keep up this year. Radford is winning on the talent of the QB alone. Union and Graham will both win the LOS and both will have the speed to slow down the QB. He'll still make plays, but he won't look super human like he has in these blowout games. He threw 3 picks against a very slow Highlander team tonight.
  17. Glenvar was their own worst enemy tonight. They played not to lose on that last drive. Should have pressured the QB. And don't know why they tried to out athlete Radford when they were running over them. Oh well. I still see Graham/Union beating them in the semifinals.
  18. Yes! I'm imagining it into existence right now! Lol
  19. Glenvar seems to be doing well on the line, but it's obvious they don't have the speed to match Radford. They need to stay away from these slow developing plays bubble screen. The tackles for losses on those plays and the penalties are instant drive killers. Need to just take it to Radford.
  20. Geez! Throw us under the bus why don't you. Steal a few passes and run a few trick plays and everyone calls you a cheat. Makes me wanna dress up like Ric Flair and make a video about McDonald's looking uniforms. 😂
  21. No. They only do regular season games. They probably don't want to pay the fees associated with playoffs.
  22. I know, right?? Let's spice it up. Everyone knows that Union should be playing GC this week. Devils had that game in the bag, tied 7-7 at halftime with the GMen until...they hit the turbo button on Clements in the 2nd half. That's cheating! I know it, you know it, we all know it. I say, bring on GC! Seriously, I'd rather play GC. Can Graham give them a free spin or something?
  23. You can tell when a game is going to be close by the lack of smack talk and team bragging. Union and Graham folks too scared to say much because they don't want to wash down that Thursday turkey with some Saturday evening crow. Haha
  24. Jacob Townsend mostly does the play by play. I think he has different people doing the color commentary. Corey Sanchez and Adam Sturgill are also on there sometimes.
