Players started leaving the field. Refs stopped them, called offsides on Abingdon. Union had 1 untimed down. Anderson barely got in for a TD. Lined up for 2. Delay of game on Union. Backed it up to 7. Then Union scored on a reverse. Then called false start on Union after the play. Backed Union up to the 12. Then holding on Abingdon the next play got it back to the 6. Pass to Huff for 2. Crazy

You talking just making the playoffs or winning a playoff game? I think virtually every team in Reg D has at least made the playoffs in the last 5 years or so. Lee hasn't won since 2014 Battle since 2012 Thomas Walker since 1996 Twin Valley has never won one

It will depend on the Battle/Lee outcome which I think is a complete tossup, but my coin flip came up Battle. Also, Central over Grundy and RR over Holston could deduct a point each from PH's total.

Receiver split out on one side, tight end on the other. 2 heavy stand up backs lined up behind the tight end and tackle with a tailback and QB under center. Mostly ran power to the tight end side, but also ran traps, counters and misdirection. He passed a few times. Tried to find some film, but no luck.

After watching Ridgeview/Abingdon, there's a lot to make of it. 2 bad handles on punt snaps gave Abingdon the ball on the RV 20 and 35. Two very short fields. RV fumbled on the Falcon 3 yd line after an impressive drive. Seemingly no adjustment by RV to the overload heavy set Abingdon ran. Falcons had the numbers advantage nearly every play. It was like they had never seen such a formation. Play calling by the Pack was puzzling many times. I don't know if Ridgeview thought they had this game in the bag, just didn't care, or if Abingdon simply wanted it more. Hard to tell. If these 2 played again, I don't know if RV wins, but I don't think the score would be the same. Once RV figured out a few things, the running clock left them no time to do anything with it. With all that being said, I hope Union is prepared for that set, and is prepared to blow up those pulling linemen. I don't see much of a threat from the pass unless Abingdon starts pulling in the Bears DBs to stop the run. RV seemed to run the ball well at times as Abingdon sold out to stop the pass. This is the most balanced Union team in a long time, so Abingdon will have to deal with a strong running game and passing game. 1 more day!

Talent ebbs and flows at any program, but the difference between being competitive year in and year out versus every once in a while is having stable and consistent feeder programs. BSG/Appy is lucky to have the hardworking and dedicated folks that enable this to happen. As long as stability meets the expectations of the interest, the Bears will be set for years to come.

If Ft Chiswell defeats Galax, that could secure Tazewell the #3 spot in that scenario.

Head 2 head is first, so Union should get the nod. I have Graham listed first on the tied scenario because I list alphabetically after points because I don't immediately know what the tie breakers are without looking them up.

Definitely in Giles' best interest if Galax beat FC.

This is a game that Richlands can win if their mindset of being winless can be overcome.
