  1. Football is starting and I’m just trying to get conversation started. What’s the biggest hit you have witnessed at a game? Mine has to be either Shane’s hit or Holmes hit on sturgill. Also can throw in about any Cody Thomas hit there was.
  2. Can’t really say it was a defensive breakdown. The defense held them to no touchdowns up until the 4th quarter. The offense gave up a touchdown. Plus they couldn’t get a first down to secure the game. I would say that defense was out there 80% of the game
  3. Who in your opinion has been Mance’s best teams. Personally- 1) 2006 2) 2015 3) 2010 4) 2016
  4. Personally believe the 2016 blues team was the best we have had. Offensively. John luke Gray baker(probably would have been the best Qb to ever play at Richlands if it wasn't for injuries) Scottie ball Cody Howie This one is tough probably like a tie between Ben brown, austin Adkinson, or booker. Defensively Frank Taylor bryce wade (those two are top 5 all time at linebacker imo) Austin Holmes(holds the sack record and was one of the best defensive linemans we have ever had) Austin Adkinson Zeke Vance
  5. In the past 5 years or so, who would you say was the best team your team had? And who would you put in the top 5 offensively and defensively?
  6. Who holds the sack record at Richlands?
  7. Don't think Richlands team this year can compete with them. Last years team was one of the best to come through Richlands since 2010 2006 teams. And they still couldn't get past appo and they're only better now. Wish the blues the best of luck though!
  8. Question for some of my Richlands guys and some of the fans of the teams that played them. I haven't got to go to any games this year due to my work schedule. Is Richlands better this year than they were last? I meant to ask this when they were undefeated, but I still think it's an interesting topic. They were really good last year from the games I got to watch, what do y'all think?
  9. Graham wins big in this one. Richlands D is not good enough at this point to stop a running back like Jamorya. I believe graham will have a much improved pass defense and put it on the blues.
  10. I feel like this defense will take 2-3 games to gel. Much like last years defense did their junior year. Might cost them 2-3 games like it did Richlands that year, but might also lead to a semifinal run as well. Thought the linebackers were shaky but we are also used to watching two of the best we've ever had back there. D-line looked good, I feel like they're going to be good but won't have one that'll be a consistent play maker like we had last year on the line. Overall I think they can be pretty good with some experience
  11. If Richlands can replace 90% of their tackles on defense from last year. Which Wade, Holmes, and Addison accounted for. Then I think they have the offense to make a run. But replacing them on the defense will be a very difficult task
  12. Wade will definitely be hard to replace. I don't even think you can to be honest. I think you guys are forgetting about Holmes though. Kid was probably one of the best overall defensive players to come through Richlands, same thing for Wade. I don't see there being a defensive lineman that reaches his caliber for many years at Richlands.
  13. Holmes on the second team?? The three in front of him must've been extremely special athletes. But congrats to all!
  14. Richlands dominated the All Conference 39 football team. The conference champion Blue Tornado claimed all of the individual honors and placed 14 players on the 22 man first team. Greg Mance and his staff were honored as coach of the year and John Luke Asbury was the offensive player of the year. Bryce Wade was the defensive player of the year and Landon Mance and Austin Holmes were the offensive and defensive linemen of the year respectively. Asbury was joined on the first team offense by Mance, Landon Lowe, Danny Anderson, Cody Howie, Nick Blankenship and Austin Atkinson. Defensively Wade, and Holmes were joined on the first team defense by Lowe, Canaan Addison, Atkinson and Bryce Farris. Graham’s Jamorya Cousin and Canaan Looney made the first team offense. The G-Men placed Adrian Gray and Tayman Cooke on the first team defense. Andrew Comer was Tazewell’s only first team offense selection. Hunter O’Quinn, Dakota Crouse and Bubba Asbury were Bulldogs selected to the first team defense. The complete first team is listed below. 15. Pretty sure they have the size as a typo for Holmes and the Glenvar kid. Holmes is not 6'2 or even close to 240
  16. They released first team. I saw it on Facebook by the Richlands news press
  17. I believe Richlands matched up well with these teams. They're run first teams just like Buckingham, and Richlands run defense was lights out. We will never know though
  18. True they didn't beat them earlier in the season or it would have been. Season is over, sorry I was just trying to have a nice discussion about it. But you really can't anymore everyone gets salty over everything. My apologies, congratulations to all teams on a great season!
  19. "Earlier in the year" key words there. Richlands would've most likely beat Union like a drum if they played today. Appo beat Richlands in overtime. Then killed Clarke who clobbered Union.
  20. Seems to me like that game decided who the champion was going to be!
  21. After looking at the stats, Wade, Holmes, and Addison accounted for more than 90% of the defenses tackles. Replacing them will be hard. If they don't I see this team sitting at 4-6, 5-5, or 6-4 next year. And please don't take offense to this, just my opinion
