I’m watching on NFHS Network and I’ll say this. As a Richlands fan I have seen Collier play several times live and I’ve seen numerous amounts of other film on him. And that kids one of the best high school runners I’ve seen. He looks so natural on the field, like he almost glides on the turf and if he gets any kind of opening or a one on one he will make a cut and be gone. Such a talented kid.
I thought Graham's offense last night was the best I've seen it all year. From the play calling and the execution. With that said I realize Grayson isnt Union either and that will definitely change things. Im afraid Graham fans are about to see what D1 talent looks like.
Appo proved once again that they are on different level than Giles. Granted, Giles shot themselves in the foot too many times. Appos offense hasn't missed a beat since last season but their defense can be ran on. You just can't have penalties or turn the ball over. Appo makes it to state but I'm still taking Central Woodstock

I never came up with a nickname for Bunker, Baker, Booker, or Farris. I also forgot to come up with with a name for the state player of the year in WV in 2009 that came from Graham. Or the guy that has a couple WV state rings & is playing FCS ball for Davidson right now that once attended on the VA side. Maybe you can give me some pointers?
There's no denying that Graham gets Bluefield kids and Bluefield gets Graham kids. Not defending it but let's say you live off of college avenue in between Bluefield college (va) and right past Comcast (wv) ... you're within 2 miles of making it to either school. So even though I don't love the transferring I can understand that situation more than getting in a car and driving 40 minutes west on 460 everyday to school.
I don't think you really wanna have this argument because you'll just say that every team gets transfers and I'll have to remind you that there's absolutely no debating that there's one team in particular in the area that has benefited more than probably every other team combined by transfers over the last 8-9 years.
Bunker was originally from Richlands. Had gym with him in middle school.
I bet it was a Graham Dude . i have no respect them. They had players from Bluefield Beavers long before RHS had any fb player transfers

Only difference between union and richlands is 1. Riclands lacks 1 big time play maker, 2. Unions D line is better. Richlands has better kicking game. Thats it. The game I watched last night was fairly even.
And Richlands doesn’t have a guy named James Mitchell on their team. Rumor has it, he’s an alright ball player.
Even if they run it all the way to Salem, Appo will win hands down. It will probably be a thrashing like Richlands got last year although I'm hoping it's Graham running it all the way down to Salem.
That would be impossible. In order to run to Salem they would play appo in the semifinals if both get there.
Exactly. Was he a good kicker that "should have" made it? Or was it a long shot for him?
He’s made them from that range multiple times this season. They did say he had a tweaked hamstring, not an excuse just what they’ve said. But with that pressure for a sophomore, a lot of great kickers would miss.
They scared the hell out of em. Not to shabby for a team that’s been called “bad” by some. I think anyone who watched them play knew better. Proud to be a blue tornado. You guys played your hearts out! And congrats to Union. I hope they run it all the way to Salem.
He never had surgery. I don't think it completely tore. Or at least that's what I was told.
I wasn’t sure if he had surgery or not. I had heard it wasn’t as bad as originally suspected, but Achilles injuries can be a nuisance to get over regardless of severity.
I hope he gets to play this being his senior year. Its going to be hard for him coming in to this game with not playing all year long. especially in a game like this where Union is going to run at them all night. Hopefully they give him some plays off I was hearing at the season start he was a gym rat so he more then likely will be ready
Kids a beast. I think his mind and heart will be ready to play at full force if he is able to, just don’t know if his body will be. I hope he is able to play and play well. For a kid to never play his senior year in something that goes by as quickly as high school football does, is a heartbreaking thing.
Not really a question for our area, but I think a good one. Do you think the success Appomattox has had in the past will continue into a dynasty of the likes of a Gate City or Appalachia and Powell Valley in the past or do they fall back to mediocrity when the ridiculous talent they’ve had starts to graduate?
DB scored 20 in the fourth. Morristown west had a 2 point lead entering the 4th.
Richlands was down 14-10 to Blacksburg and it was Blues ball at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Does that mean they almost beat Blacksburg?Because if I stated that I’d be laughed off the board.
Look at the schedule. They're 3-7 and lost to all top teams, almost beating DB. A win over a 4A (VA) school that is a good team is a good win. And Union held them to fhejf single lowest point total.
