Have only seen one of these teams play this year. Saw Graham, with a really bad defensive scheme, let a Galax running back rush for over 400 yds. Graham also had a nice good sized kid carrying the football. Seems like Union must be a pretty good team to have beaten Richlands. I know this, if the G-Men defensive schematics haven't changed since that Galax game it will be a long night and a longer bus ride home.

Saw this Maroon Tide team play once this year, they were a one man show in the game against Graham. Graham's defensive scheme was very unsound ! They seemed to be playing 1980 sandlot box ends and Galax ran power with three different blocking schemes. Needless to say the Harris kid from Galax rushed for over 400 yds. Must be something about that field at Mitchell Stadium or the running backs from Galax or maybe just some really bad defensive schematics by Graham. I think Hurley will struggle to stop them as well from what I've heard and read about the Rebels. Put everybody in the box and make Galax throw the football, but you must cover the FB in the flats, the Spurlin kid, good athlete.

Wow most of you guys have given Richlands the title already. Crown em now Bo no need to play the rest LoL. I've seen them play once this year against Bluefield, WV while visiting an old friend. They are impressive, but they have a tough road left. I've heard so many negative things surface this year about that program and past recruits. I wish them success.

Was looking for an unbiased SWVA high school football forum without having to pay for it. Does anyone know of such ??
