I watched the Appomattox game, it appeared that the 500 spectators per team may have been exceeded by 2 or 3 —-hundred, just saying if they did , great , who cares what the VHSL thinks or king Ralphie

I watched the Appomattox game , I thought for sure that it was going to be a repeat of the Union game , but boy oh boy those Cougars came back. Best State finals in a very long time. Congrats to DA Raiders and congrats to the Cougars for battling back, you should be very proud

Maybe they should talk to Rhoads from Eastside or maybe Norris from Sullivan North

The VHSL has just bumped up attendance to 1000 for the championship games. Tickets will be split to each school. If there are any unsold tickets they will be sold to the general public, but you can bet that Appomattox and Stuart’s Draft will use all of their tickets

Does that include the two playoff games? Lomax shows 1100+ on Hudl, I don’t know if it’s correct , and Lomax had 1 more playoff game and at least 1 more regular season game . Big winner may have the stats

No I haven’t, just seen parents posting on book of face, the reason I asked was this I seen both Central backs along with Adkins and Lucas as first team and Lomax left on 2nd. I may be wrong but I think that Lomax had more yards except for Lucas??? Really not sure though

Baseball is a skill sport, even the best players have to work at getting their eye / hand coordination back(Bo Jackson, Dion Sanders)!often said it was easier going from baseball to football than vise versa. Union has what 2 days between football then to baseball? It may take several games/practices to get the baseball grove back, so it will be fine

Is there anyone who has the stats for the MOUNTAIN 7 ,rushing/carries ect

I will also say this, great people from the Appomattox community, the young men who spoke to me represented your school very well . I spoke to several members of the school administration boosters etc. a real tribute to everyone there

Union—what is there to say, GREAT season, who else can say that they Won a State championship in basketball then won the region in football with so many underclassman. To the Seniors you provided us with memories that will last forever—-Thank You, and to the jerk on here, yes you know who you are.....you waited 3 weeks to say you were right, enjoy it but Union is still Region D Champs , and State Champs and that sir you can’t change....see you in the fall

Yeah we will just let us know, but to get inside the gates you must have Team passes and it’s one pass one person, VHSL rules not mine, if it were up to me I would just accidentally leave the gates unattended after the 1st quarter

To be the man, you have to beat the man, Appomattox is the defending state champion, many many of those kids are still there, 4x champions, speed everywhere , heck their cheerleaders can run fast . Union will be Union, hopefully the kicking game don’t beat them like it did last time

Yes, at the home games there has been cars parking near the fence, and some people standing at the outer fence, I think the “tree house” may offer a decent vantage point

Maybe someone can go to southwest tool rental and rent a lift, or you can get into a WCYB shirt and act like you are with them

Let’s remember King Ralphie and the dumb o crats made everything a secondary offense, so unless you have a body hanging out of your trunk , the police can’t stop you(speeding is still primary, didn’t want the troopers to do nothing)

Yeah , I will be working the game, I was told today, let your community know there are bathrooms behind the home stands now, much nicer than your last visit. I don’t know if food will be at the game, so we now have Curklins and a new pizza place both serve good food and some good beer if you like that sort of beverage. I will be on the scoreboard end on the visitor side, see you then

Sorry got called out , another young soul lost, it was at 2 am the night after the game that the murder occured

2016 Appomattox thumps Union at their place, that night Janina Jones was murdered by her husband Eric Jones. She left behind her children . Lomax was one of those kids. Appomattox lost some kids in the early morning hours before the game. The reason brought this up is this, no matter the score, no matter who wins , we are all winners when the kids stay healthy.....Go Bears , be safe Appomattox fans and let’s all pray that God sends his angels to watch over us all
