Here is me and most peoples arguments on here. You, Big John, Rebel yell and vols fan has no right to come on hear and talk about how great Hurley is until you all get tested. We know this is Hurley's best team in years and has all the weapons to go far! But you all sure do like jumping the gun. Example I said a Hurley vs. Tazewell would be a interesting game to see but we all know that's not happening this season. But Big John said "you wouldn't love it for long". Why? Sounds like he's already implying like Hurley would kill Tazewell. Please play somebody before making ignorant comments. Which won't be until November then will all know. Then you all will either be doing all the bragging about how right you all was and how wrong we was or you all eat your words. I like your comment above and it makes sense but I don't see Grundy, Patrick Henry, Richlands, Union, Graham, Abingdon, Lee, Wythe, Giles, Galax on here beating their chest like you all cause their undefeated or loss to high level teams! Hurley needs to wake up and just keep it real cause other schools with good records aren't coming on here and bragging as much. Just cool the jets a little and stop being so defensive.

Well now I know. You're saying Hurley is not good enough to play Tazewell or any team with more than 40 players cause those teams have more weapons and depth. I'm sorry Man! And I should've knew better than to compare Hurley to 2A or 1A schools with more players and cause of just getting mismatched in everyway.

Seriously, why do you Hurley folks always turn to nonsense. You talking size of things, one talking about Catholic Priest playing with little boys. Nobody knows each other on here personally or at least I don't. You all are SCARED of competition over there. Shouldn't even bring it up or debate it cause Hurley's never going step up and test themselves!

C'Mon Man! Lol let me debunk you're quote by saying most teams in SWVA have players playing in all areas. Offense, Defense and Special Teams. And yes that means 2A football teams too. Hurley's not Rye Cove, Thomas Walker, Holston or Twin Valley. They have a skill set that could play Tazewell and could possibly win. Tazewell and Honaker have around the same number of players on the roster and Hurley plays Honaker and their expected to beat Honaker. Everybody knows Hurley fans on here play the school enrolment card but they have 30 players which is a good size team for their school. So Hurley's not the only team that has players playing every where. Not asking them to play really good teams just teams with the same level of talent. 11 on 11, 22 on 22 or 33 on 33.

That would be fun to watch! Enrollment numbers is always an issues for schools playing each other for some odd reason. But on the field it's 11 on 11. And regardless of school enrolment numbers, I would actually prefer to see talent vs. talent and see what happens!

How about that. Hopefully that gets corrected soon for Grundy's benefit. They won't get much points from that win though. Riverview, WV only has one win this season and they'll be lucky if they get one or two more wins. But little points are better than no points!

How's everybody see this game going down? Not getting talked about much but its an interesting matchup in my view and worth debating. Both teams seem evenly matched which could lead to a good game!

If Central's healthy I give them the advantage but if not it should be a interesting game. Grundy's D is pretty physical and experienced. They don't miss a lot of tackles but a team with speed would likely give them issues and that's why Central needs Mullins and Jesse healthy. I'll lean toward Central till I know more.

Who's hating on Henry? And nobody's hating on Hurley either! Hurley folks feelings gets hurt when we talk about their lightweight schedule and say me and a few folks on here are putting the kids down. I've said it a lot Greg Tester is a great coach, the players are talented, the fans are some of the most loyal around. The players can't help their schedule is weak. It all lays on the Athletic Director. But to put it this way Hurley is like a weightlifter that is strong enough to bench 400lbs but just benches 100lbs and brags how strong they are. And as far as Henry goes, well they play Wythe, Marion, Chilhowie, Rural Retreat, and couple of schools that are down but normally are good teams. Henrys running back is legit. That guy is handful for any defense they face!

As of right now Hurley has played teams with a combined 6-19 record. They have left Grundy (5-0), Honaker (2-3), Twin Valley (2-3), Twin Springs (2-3), Phelps, KY (1-4). Grundy will likely be their only challenge until the playoffs.

Hey Bud, I've been saying this all season that Hurley has a weak schedule! When somebody says Abingdon, Richlands, Graham, Union, Galax and Giles are great teams I agree cause their playing the "cream of the crop" of Southwest VA or legit out of state teams week in and week out! And when somebody says Gate City is 0-5 and horrible I'm going say look at their schedule. I respect those teams that steps up regardless of the outcome and play tough competition! That person was speaking non sense. Hurley would get bashed by all of the teams above I listed and that person didn't agree with that. Hurley is good for their level.

You think the next couple weeks are going be rough for Grundy? The rest of their schedule is rough!

Tazewell really needs this win if they wanna make the playoffs. Their not going beat Richlands and Abingdon. Grundy and Lebanon are questionable. 4-6 probably couldn't get them a playoff birth but 5-5 could. A lot at stake for the Dawgs in this one!

Big non district game for both teams! I'm assuming Tazewell has quit practicing defense this week to focus only on offense and special teams to hopefully score over 80 this week. Lol. Will Tazewell win in another offensive shootout or does Marion's D hold Tazewell under 50 and get the win?

Forgot about 5-0 Grundy. Patrick Henry's bout like Hurley, just with a lot tougher schedule. They use to be one of the worse teams in SWVA, so I'm happy to see that program doing well the past two seasons. They still have Wythe, Chilhowie and Rural Retreat to test them. But yeah I agree Henry could be a dark horse and if Hurley gets hype for beating up weak teams then Henry should be getting some hype too!

I know Galax should have made easy work of Rural Retreat and Rural Retreat gave them some problems and I thought Wythe would give them issues and Galax had no problems with them so I guess it depends what Galax shows up. If Galax that beat Wythe shows up they should win but if the team that played Rural Retreat shows up they may be in for a long game against Giles.
