After the way Graham performed against Abingdon I expect this one to be wrapped up by halftime. They're a handful for any team going forward this season!

It's hard not to go with Hurley. But I don't think Hurley's going steamroll Grundy like previous opponents. And I won't be surprised if this isn't a closer game than expected or possibly Grundy getting the upset. I don't think any team Hurley's played so far this season has such a diverse group of players to go to like Grundy has on offense. They have a big O-Line, hard runners and a really good tall receiver. And their defense is pretty physical too. I know how Grundy's head coach Plymal is. If I'm guessing he's going throw everything at Hurley's defense and will keep them on their toes. Big test for Hurley. If Hurley does shut Grundy down and run all over them then will know more where Hurley stands but I expect this to be a "dog fight" game. Two undefeated Buchanan Co. rivals, bragging rights, but most importantly Grundy will win the BDD title if they win. Cooking up to be a good one at The Cliff.

Man I can't believe you disabled Rebel_Yell for the Hurley vs. Grundy thread next week. I was actually looking forward to seeing him go ballistic in every post next week. Especially since it's Hurley's biggest game this season and he said he couldn't stand Grundy! Lol

Don't know how everybody else feels but Grundy improving to 6-0 and Graham taking down undefeated Abingdon is the highlight of the night. Hats off to the players, coaches and fans for both those teams tonight!

Well finally admitting Hurley can't play with Richlands, Graham, Abingdon, Union, etc. Harris is a speedy back and Kitts is also an underrated player. If Hurley played Tazewell this season, I admit Hurley could play with them and some 2A schools. But they would have their hands full with Tazewell. Especially on Defense.

I'd say Grundy locked up a playoff birth after beating Honaker. Getting five wins normally will do it.

Don't how true it is but rumor is Unaka, TN is dropping Burton after this Season. Pass the word.

Too early to brag. Always stay humble till all the test have been past. Plus my alma mater school plays Richlands and some other legit teams. And I have enough sense to know they won't win all of them. Maybe if they had a easier schedule I would be bragging too.

I thought Lebanon would play with Lee. Seems as if Lee is just out playing them.

Here is me and most peoples arguments on here. You, Big John, Rebel yell and vols fan has no right to come on hear and talk about how great Hurley is until you all get tested. We know this is Hurley's best team in years and has all the weapons to go far! But you all sure do like jumping the gun. Example I said a Hurley vs. Tazewell would be a interesting game to see but we all know that's not happening this season. But Big John said "you wouldn't love it for long". Why? Sounds like he's already implying like Hurley would kill Tazewell. Please play somebody before making ignorant comments. Which won't be until November then will all know. Then you all will either be doing all the bragging about how right you all was and how wrong we was or you all eat your words. I like your comment above and it makes sense but I don't see Grundy, Patrick Henry, Richlands, Union, Graham, Abingdon, Lee, Wythe, Giles, Galax on here beating their chest like you all cause their undefeated or loss to high level teams! Hurley needs to wake up and just keep it real cause other schools with good records aren't coming on here and bragging as much. Just cool the jets a little and stop being so defensive.

Well now I know. You're saying Hurley is not good enough to play Tazewell or any team with more than 40 players cause those teams have more weapons and depth. I'm sorry Man! And I should've knew better than to compare Hurley to 2A or 1A schools with more players and cause of just getting mismatched in everyway.

Shouldn't even bring it up or debate it cause Hurley's never going step up and test themselves!

C'Mon Man! Lol let me debunk you're quote by saying most teams in SWVA have players playing in all areas. Offense, Defense and Special Teams. And yes that means 2A football teams too. Hurley's not Rye Cove, Thomas Walker, Holston or Twin Valley. They have a skill set that could play Tazewell and could possibly win. Tazewell and Honaker have around the same number of players on the roster and Hurley plays Honaker and their expected to beat Honaker. Everybody knows Hurley fans on here play the school enrolment card but they have 30 players which is a good size team for their school. So Hurley's not the only team that has players playing every where. Not asking them to play really good teams just teams with the same level of talent. 11 on 11, 22 on 22 or 33 on 33.

That would be fun to watch! Enrollment numbers is always an issues for schools playing each other for some odd reason. But on the field it's 11 on 11. And regardless of school enrolment numbers, I would actually prefer to see talent vs. talent and see what happens!

How about that. Hopefully that gets corrected soon for Grundy's benefit. They won't get much points from that win though. Riverview, WV only has one win this season and they'll be lucky if they get one or two more wins. But little points are better than no points!

Rumor is J.I. Burton needs to pick up a school to play. Hurley matches up well with them and only 2 hours apart.
