I feel like Lynchburg would be a good halfway point for Graham and KW. I’m sure there is a field there that can be used, especially on Saturday. Maybe the schools can agree to both work the gates and concessions and split earnings? Just my two cents lol

    Appomattox maybe? Lol

Riverheads up 42-0 at half.  Game in hand.  Running clock 2nd half.  Subs should play a lot.  But after that onside kick, I doubt it.

This will show class in 2nd half if they sub out if they dont then there is your sign.

  3. Yes it is the nature of the beast lol. Normally somebody throws something in that is on subject. With so much covid crap going on i keep looking to see whats changed and who maybe had players injured. Playoffs IMO are going to take a weird direction with this covid crap . Will we have the best teams stil playing or will it be the teams left that are able to play?

Men, excuse me if I got some typos in this message.  My wife is driving while I'm riding shotgun and typin.  Just wanted to say those boys on the field tonight were studs.  Two great teams with great coaches and great fans.  Men, there is no way I'm handing Appo a title yet.  That's one of the better High School games I've seen in a while with that ending.  It was just knock out blow after knock out blow.  The fans at Mitchell were nice.  I met a bunch of Bluefield Beaver fans and got to see a few from Giles and Narrows (Giles County was in the house up there).  Great atmosphere.  Oh yea, my car (vehicle) was a near miss.  My wife is much faster than me and she got that puppy out of there before the "tide" came in.  I always love the tip to Bluefield.  We did Trents Grocery this time, which for you folks in Bluefield that used to hang out or party on Wilderness Road, that's the little Grocery/Grill that's known as one of the key locations related to murder on the Appalachian trail and for the somewhat recent shooting of the two guys from Bluefield in 2008 by Randall Lee Smith.  Trent's was one of his hangouts, and if you are really old like me, Trents was also the hangout of suspected Serial Killer George Bird, the psychopath from Bland County that did his damage in the 70's.  Anyway, Trents has some darn good pizza and Trents is still open, after all these years.  Hats off to both Union and Graham.  That was quite a show.  I don't think I will be voting the Bobcats over either one of you guys very soon in the top 10 poll.  Both teams are light years ahead of Radford right now and both teams, whether they know it or not, are actually right there with Appo, and I'm talking about the healthy Appo, not the injured one.

I have watched every game i can and have to respectfully dissagree with you about a healthy Appomattox team. I'm hoping Appo will be back up to 75 percent healthy tonight, if so we will beat LB and moving on with the rest of the season.

Obviously did not want to see us lose this game, but if we play twice I'd rather lose this one than the next.

Were there a lot of penalties? Yep.

    Were a couple bogus? Yep.

Did they affect the outcome? Nope.

3 plays lost this game... the bad snap/fake, whatever it was on the punt... the fumble, when we had all the momentum, about to go up 2 scores... and the ultra conservative play calls on the possession before Graham scored the go ahead TD.

If the Bears can make it through Richlands, Ridgeview, Abingdon and Central unscathed, we'll definitely meet again. Congratulations to the GMen!

Thats they way i saw it also, about 4 plays with two of them just plain out being bad play calls. That one passing play deep with two recievers open and the QB throws it to the furthest down field was a bone head. The closer reciever would have had blocks into the endzone and no coverage on him at all.

Not so sure about that.  Appomattox can be a handful for most any team WHEN they are at full strength.  Not sure if that will happen right now. If they can't get Lawing back thats a big hit for them.  Backup is a good athlete and a better passer in my opinion but you don't just take the 2A player of the year and replace him especially as good as he is on defense.

If we can get back to full strength it should be a great game between us and Region C folks and even better if we get the chance to face Region D.

Petersen is a much better passer in accuracy,  however he lacks the ability to scramble . LB gets killed on pass plays thats a major weakness for them. If appo can get D line and O line back we have a good to excellent shot at beating LB .

I'm sure he's a talented kid. But there's absolutely no way you replace a Tre Lawing and perform at same level. Not many kids start four years at QB and win multiple state titles. Lawing is special, very hard to replace special.  Pennix and the other back can help, but in the playoffs against a Draft or KW or Graham, you'll need a QB who can make play a ans every one knows what Lawing can do on both sides of ball

Cant disagree about tre being special,  he is. We have had alot of 4 year starters and all of them are very special athletes and young men.

If he's hurt, someone else could maybe win a state title.  If he's healthy, it's yours. Hope he's okay for his  sake. Kid is a gamer.

Petersen has done a great job as qb im sure if we make it to state without tre coach will have Petersen ready. The guys are tough and have no problem stepping up and getting the job done. That's the PO1 way.

What about Lawing oldfool? What kind of damage was done to this kids shoulder? How long is he out for? I hope he comes back ASAP. He's a senior and special player and it would be a shame for this kid to miss his entire senior season, especially since he's been healthy mostly and started since a freshmen.

To my knowledge he is out tonight.  I dont know when he can return from a dislocated shoulder.

Radford vs Fort Chiswell, Princeton vs Oak Hill, Union vs JI Burton, Central vs Ridgeview, Va High vs Patrick Henry, Abingdon vs Gate City, and a big one in the middle of the state, Appomattox vs Heritage

Appomattox is without about a third of our players due to injuries and covid. Im praying no more of our players get hurt tonight as some are stepping up and some maybe playing out of their position.

Seems like you guys will be the favorites when you meet. I don't think LB completely goes belly up but they obv a step down and I don't see Appomattox going backwards at all.

LB looked like Appo did in 2019 when we played our first game against Buckingham. Appo turned it around after a rough start to go on and win state that year also. So keeping that in mind LB has time to come around and be a major hurdle for any team. LB is very young and i knew that this year, but i did not expect to see what i saw friday night. Glass shut their run attack down and LB does not have a passing game, quarterback is way off.
