Not sure about the talent level on the Eastern side of Va... Could this be the year Gate City wins the state championship? From the games at the Arby's, the Gate City team represented SWVA very well. Who do you think on the West side or the East side of Va that would prevent GC from taking the championship? Will their only losses by those of 2016?

Every school could bear that classification from someone who has had rivalry and confrontation in competitive events over years of competing... Burton could say that of Wise and Wise say that of Burton...as well as Powell Valley of Appalachia and Appalachia of Powell Valley... of Clintwood and Haysi , etc... so this narrative could be true of many rival schools.

The poster said''real class act that bunch is'' so he labeled all of Central by the action of one. Would you label your entire school or team classless by the action of one...be it parent, adult or player??

Watched Honaker barely beat Bell County. Actually Honaker trailed most of the game. I would say GW wins by 20 over Honaker and Union wins by 20 over Central Wise. Union and GW is a great matchup as a championship game. Not sure who wins that one.

Richlands had no answer for GW's man to man defense in the 4th quarter. 3 Point shots what gave Richlands lead in the first 3 quarters. GW shut the 3 ball down. GW out coached Richlands.

West wins 40-25 over the East. Was a great game from start to finish. Each team had some tremendous athletes. And everyone enjoyed the game. Great article in the Bristol Herald about the game.

WCYB came to Tenn High and interviewed East All Star Team Coach Joey Carroll of Marion last night. First time ever we have put Tenn and Va guys together on both teams.. I have been at Dobyns Bennett for West practices.. Speed is present on the West team.. Been fun watching them come together in a short time!

Weather is suppose to be 60 degrees Sat at Bristol! 40 degrees warmer than today! Players and fans will be thankful for that! This arctic stuff can go back to Canada!

Watched 1st practice of the West Senior All Stars at Dobyns Bennett tonight. DB QB looked real good.. Nick Maupin believe is his name.. Very speedy receivers also.. Wild seeing Science Hill, DB, Gate City, Union , Elizabethon and other schools on the same field! Coach Witten of Elizabethon working with qbs... And heard the East had a great practice at Tenn High.. this game should be a dandy Saturday at Stone Castle!

The 2016 FCA All Star East-West Senior Football Game is Sat. Dec 17th at Tennessee High at 1pm. Each Team will have a mix of Va and Tenn seniors on their rosters. East is coached by Joey Carroll of Marion. West is coached by Scott Allgood of Trinity Academy. East Team will practice at Tenn High and West team will practice at Dobyns Bennet. Each team will enjoy a team banquet on Monday Dec.12th.
