  1. You can't lump all us SWD guys together. I for one will concede Graham can be their own worst enemy. They came out flat against Tazewell. In the playoffs, they'll have to do better. I never count Union out no matter how young or inexperienced. Central is tough this year but I knew they would be. They are well coached and seem to mesh together well. Ridgeview is a great team too. I hate the season ended up like it did for them. Everything is crazy and unpredictable in this unconventional season. At the end of the day, I hope Region D can win it all.
  2. Do you have to sit out next game for so many personal fouls? Or just ejection?
  3. Maybe bad was the wrong word to use, I've just seen several posts about them not being as good as they were olin recent years. I'm sure youth is the factor in that and they're only going to get better.
  4. Graham will only have two days to prep. That could be an advantage for Union if they can capitalize on it.
  5. Bears don’t seem as bad as some have said. May give Graham a run for their money.
  6. Graham Is quarantined. Tazewell is fine. Graham will have a short weeK practice to prepare for Union barring any unforeseen circumstances. Not an ideal situation for Graham. Central/Tazewell going to be a heck of a game. I can’t wait to see it.
  7. I think the Dawgs will give them a fight and it will come down to one score or who makes the fewest mistakes. Both are capable of winning and both have very good teams this year. Good luck to both but I’ll be pulling for the Dawgs, obviously.
  8. I’d say Richlands although more is at stake for Radford at this point. If they win and FC loses, I believe that may secure the Bobcats a playoff bid. Somebody can correct me if I’m wrong.
  9. Do you know if Mike Lane or VHSL is answering emails or phone calls over Easter weekend? Asking for a friend? I heard there’s a Facebook campaign to get Union out of the playoffs. Where’s the best place to treat you to a meal down your way? 😂
  10. I really wish our reactions weren’t limited on here. Here’s mine for your post 😂🤣😂🤣
  11. Speaking of na na’s, anyone remember Sha Na Na? That’s a blast from the past. 😂😂😂😂 The younger generation on the board will have to Google to even have a clue what Sha Na Na is, lol. We’ll get to 10 pages yet @Mountain Football
  12. Can somebody start Richlands vs Radford thread? I would but being a Graham fan it seems inappropriate, lol. We’re beating a dead horse here on this thread. But if you’re so inclined, beat on 😂
  13. I hate that for Bland. They only looked to have about 15 to start with from a bit I caught on NFHS. I think their middle school team had a winning season. Maybe things will look up for them if they can get enough to sustain the team until those boys get up to varsity.
  14. I’m out of reactions to like your comment. I respect that you reconsidered your initial reaction and posted this. Be blessed brother!
  15. I highly doubt he speaks for all of Richlands. Graham coaches thought all along points counted for first game and 2nd game would count as official SWD game as far as district standings. Then it changed and changed again. It’s a crazy season, period. It’s not the kind of season any of us would prefer. Life isn’t always fair but I believe the fairest way to determine spots was used. I guarantee Graham would rather be playing this Friday than not. With all of that said, I always support GMen first. I also support and cheer on our other schools. I was just as thrilled for the Herndon boy winning state as I was for Fritz. I was ecstatic when Richlands girls finally won state softball title. Poor sportsmanship and disrespect speak volumes about character. Best of luck to all of our Region D teams. May one of them bring home that ring! Go GMen!
  16. VDH protocol, in contact you quarantine even if you’re negatIve. Been there, done that. Not sure about how it affects Tazewell. I would think a JV player didn’t really have close contact at the game with Tazewell players.
  17. It’s my understanding, players have to quarantine for 7 days. The ones that tested positive have to have a negative test to return to play. I’m just going by what was done in basketball & wrestling. I believe it was JV players not varsity that tested positive though. I’m crossing my fingers & toes, it all works out for them to play Union on Saturday.
  18. They might but I don’t think it helps them overtake Tazewell even if they win.
  19. My understanding is top two from each district as voted on last week. Power points are being used in SWD as decided upon yesterday. Union #2 M7 vs Graham #1 SWD Tazewell #2 SWD vs Central #1 M7 This is no ordinary season but I believe this is the most accurate interpretation of what has transpired. Not sure what happens if Graham is still quarantined next Saturday? My hope is, they will play as scheduled and quarantine lifted by then.
  20. I would presume nothing changes unless Graham reschedules Saturday playoff game to Monday??? I don’t see that happening though. Of course, I guess that’s depends on if anymore cases occur. Best case scenario, Tazewell still goes to Central & Union travels to Graham. Someone with more knowledge may know better but that’s my take on it.
  21. Actually, I think he.can’t read between the lines and sarcasm is lost in the translation. I’m not riled up at all but rather amused. 🤣😉
  22. Oh man, you spoiled the fun, lol! We could have kept this going all night long. 😂. Seriously, what person in their right mind would think Graham is happy about this or planned it? Geez! People need a wet noodle upside the head.
