That's one of my beefs with Bluefield College (University) is the fact they don't recruit more local talent. Glad to see BS off to an impressive start.

I wondered why they didn't play Saturday even Sunday would be better in my opinion when you have the biggest game of the season coming up this week than playing Monday evening. Could they not have just called the game or does it have to be at least a half played?

Heck you can get hurt in practice, one of Graham's starters broke his leg in practice at beginning of season; should be back in a couple of weeks I think.

I don't recall reading many Grahsm folks on here saying VA High can't hang, maybe a couple of the posters but most of us realize our boys need to be on their A game every game. I think our D is coming together full speed ahead. Offense is getting better.If we're on our A game I think our chances are good to win but you're right, we'll have to contain Thomas. He's a talent for sure and VA High has improved greatly. I'm not giving any game to Graham, we have to earn every win on the field, nothing is a given.

Are you sure it wasn't 2019? 😂😂😂 I saw a video on FB from that game & it was going full blast. It's easy to get years mixed up as we age though. Maybe hearing loss affects memory??? I'm okay with people giving the nod to VA High pulling an upset even if they don't truly believe it & just hatin' on GMen, lol; probably 75% on here said Bluefield would win even with Covid pause; that Graham would defeat themselves. Blevins had a great night. He can wiggle and squirm when you think he's going down...slips away. I think offense still has work to do but they're improving.

I like it when they let them play and aren't calling holding all night long. Of course, I don't know what calls y'all's refs weren't calling or were bad calls but the crew in Bluefield was decent & wasn't throwing laundry all night.

VA High will win big on Monday when they finish the game with Honaker putting them 5-0 , same as Graham. Who comes out next Friday at 6-0? VA High very talented and well coached now. I think the biggest advantage for Graham is their strength of schedule compared to VA High. Has VA High truly been tested yet? Graham seems to have started clicking and playing much better than when they barely got by a tremendous Union team. Who comes out on top of SWD Friday night?

Maybe you can channel your inner vtdavis and be at more than one high school next Friday night 😂😂😂.

I agree, Blevins is an athlete and a half. The defense was pretty much on point all night with one exception that eventually led to Beaver scoring. If the defense continues to improve, they're going to be downright nasty come playoff time. They're already pretty nasty.

Graham played the best I've seen them play this season. The defense played phenomenal in my opinion. I realize Bluefield hasn't played a game in a month and only been back practicing two weeks. They were struggling with stamina early on , bent over trying to catch their breath. I feel for them having to deal with such a long pause. Graham was tackling well , keying in on the ball, and offense is getting better. Blevins is a playmaker. It seems to be the trend about game 5 , things start clicking much better. Kudos to coaches, they must have worked on fine tuning some things the past two weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing how the GMen perform against VA High next week.
