Richlands kicking game was not impressive at all against Graham. It was akin to very bad. Levi Forrest is definitely missed. He was a special talent. Richlands' kicking may have just been a casualty of lack of practice that week. I really don't know. Unless their kicking game improves a lot this week, I'd say Abingdon's is way more than "slightly" better.

I hope the team doesn't wear those yellow uniforms the wore in they spring against Union for Gold Rush Night.

Right & so goes the "Covid Crap Shoot" season 2021 ~ hopefully, they'll find one.

Yes, Bluefield is cancelled next two weeks including the Richlands' game. I'm not sure if it will be made up or Richlands will try to find another opponent. @Ryan4VT might know.

Haven't heard that. Graham was practicing this afternoon.

With the way things seem to be going, they’ll likely be several teams needing a game other than Richlands. Or at least that seems to be the trend each week in what I like to call “Covid Crap Shoot Football” Hopefully, they find a good opponent for that date.

He is a heck of an athlete. I hope we see some great plays from him Thursday. He was quite impressive against Richlands in my opinion. Nothing against the Meadows kid but I hope Blevins stays at QB. Meadows kid was pretty good at LB last year.

Jenkins, Lomax, Bradshaw, & Meadows are obviously going to be the ones a lot of people will be watching and talking about. But each team is solid as a “team” and has a solid coaching staff who I’m sure instills a team mindset . I don’t think anyone intended to slight Jenkins. I think most of us Graham folks on here have much respect for Union’s ability and strength as a team. At the same time, one really can’t talk about Graham without at least mentioning Meadows (who is huge) and Bradshaw (who is lightning). They & other veteran players like Blevins showed great leadership on the field Friday night at Richlands. I guess just don’t read anymore threads involving Graham because I feel like Bradshaw & Meadows will still come up.

I’ll loan you some cowbells if y’all will ring them when Graham scores. 😂 We need some exuberant pseudo fans to help fire up the home crowd! 😂 Safe travels & hope the game is worth the trip & definitely hope the GMen can break the losing record at home against Union. It’s no easy task ahead but I hope they’re up to it!

That’s what is posted on Covid Moves thread. It has been accurate. The only plus to Covid crap is we are seeing match ups that wouldn’t normally be played. Trying to look at glass half full.

None of the protocols make any sense, every health department seems to be different. It seems like they make it up as they go. If he was in quarantine & not even at practice last week that seems a bit overkill. That’s just me!

That’s what the big screen is for they set up yesterday! Union fans will be more comfy in the seats at Bowen Field too; better than the hard concrete at Mitchell. That train horn will reverberate so much better inside the baseball diamond. 😂

Hopefully, there’s no midweek parties at anybody’s house…maybe do bed check calls to be safe, lol. A good night’s rest goes a long way before a big game.

I thought Graham was the only team to rack up penalties like that, lol. It may come down to who has fewest penalties, 😂.

I hope this is a close one. I think it could go either way. Central’s defense seems pretty solid and may be able to contain VH or least limit the damage. It may come down to mental toughness & which one makes the fewest mistakes. I’m no expert but I take Central. Just my opinion, it may turn out completely inaccurate.

I tend to agree. Graham was down a Senior starter due to ejection from Central game. I know they had to do some shifting around. When a team, any team loses a starter during playoffs, it can mess with mojo. Not making excuses but shifting players to a new position works out and sometimes it doesn’t work out. That may have lead to them being less composed and comfortable or it may not have. Appo held Lester in check better than any team that season. If Appo wins C , they will be hard to beat no matter who comes out of Region D.

If Appo is at full strength or near full strength, Region D Champion will have a hard time of it.

No excuses here, Union was the better team that game. Bears came to play and it showed.

I’m not sure where any of us Graham folks have said Graham wins this one with or without Bradshaw. For Graham to have a chance, they have to be mentally prepared and play hard all 4 quarters. If not, we may get our butts handed to us again. As far as Bradshaw , he is fun to watch and would be worth the drive.
