I mean no disrespect to Beaver, Greeneville is just freakish this season. A game between the two is not totally unthinkable... Graham took Mr. Bradshaw’s bunch down there a few years back.

Greeneville would beat Beaver (& 74 GC) by 40. They are LEGIT.

Those lightbulbs worked just fine in the Rural Retreat scoreboard. I think the real issue is that our scoreboard simply isn’t as talented as in years past - & that’s not even factoring in overall downward trends in lightbulb participation.

I pay $6 a pop to go see The Akers & Roberts Flying Circus every Friday night, & that’s all I’ll do until the January board meeting. My recent posts have been a reaction to folks who presuppose GC is having a downward turn in regard to talent. This nonsense has even made its way into predictions from local media outlets, and its not fair that the kids have to see that. I will praise whoeve makes the decisions there for bringing Reed home. When they hire Coach Reed in January, I will personally buy a new package of lightbulbs for the scoreboard.

Little League season is over. It ended early due to one team folding - a first in GCLL’s 60 year history. It’s an astronomical coincidence that these issues keep popping up. And this is a public forum about high school football. We all understand, appreciate, & prioritize academics first, But this is not swvaacademics.com.

It IS NOT a cycle. It is INCOMPETENCE on a heretofore unseen level: the majority of the school board, the AD who actively tried to subvert the program for Houseright’s last 4 years, a Little League program in complete disarray, and Chris Akers; the Worst Head Football Coach in Virginia. We need to absolve the kids of all responsibility for this ongoing humiliation. We can not expect children to guide themselves.

A functioning Little League program would benefit GC, but what was possible and probable at GC since the 60s is now completely insurmountable.

Plus it gets the damned game over quicker... good for a team with a lack of depth; good for the fans to be home by 9:30.

GC 8 Union 7 GC must be ready to play, because their coaches apparently feel so prepared that they have time to message me with threats on here.

Great opportunity for Union's young kids & reserves to get reps. GC players were jawing at each other after every play - and in a lot of cases, I don't blame them. When lineman just stand & watch, I'd be upset, too. If only there was an adult present whose job it was to teach football skills & fundamentals... We are through the Looking Glass in GC.

So, GC needs to keep Akers and hire 10,000 new fans to put up with his incompetence. What an elegant solution. Take it to the school board and I guarantee they'll pass it!!

Were GC not being coached by the Village Idiot they would have been tied going into the half at Graham & ahead of Abingdon. Don't buy into that 'untalented' myth. GC has several talented kids on the team, and several more talented kids have left the program due to the coaching staff's Incompetence \ negative attitude. In a little over 7 weeks the curse will be lifted.

Boone has one of the area's best RBs... GC leads at halftime, keeps it respectable through three. DB 41 GC 15

GC will be in the playoffs next year & it will all be like a bad dream. Keep supporting the kids & D coordinator.

If we do anything other than chunk it up the middle, our chances of gaining yardage vs turning it over are 50\50. In the second half our kids just walked around. Idk.

Still don't understand why Weber City isn't booming with retail.
