I'm sure both teams have 7 or 8 game films on each other. You're game planning on tendencies. If you are putting something new in this week only and it doesn't work;you are pretty much screwed for the game. Because you've put this "grand scheme" in and it didn't work. Now what? Wouldn't be real smart to do that.

Or just flip a coin to see what Offense you are going to run this week

Just saying the coaches thought so when the season started. You start yo-yoing them around and they both lose confidence.

Why not just go with the best QB. Tony Palmer at Graham heard it after the Bluefield game. People said he needed to move Allen to wideout and start a different QB. He didn't listen to the negativity. He stuck with his guy. Now look how much better Allen is at QB. He evidently thought Brown was the best QB when the season started.

Union is far better up front than anyone in the Region[Offense and Defense]. Teams in this Region are really weak up front Offensively.

And Allen is a much better QB now than he was in week 1. Losing Reed at RB really hurt. But Graham has done a nice job of working around his loss. Give Coach Palmer a ton of credit for making necessary adjustments and not caving in to all the naysayers that wanted him to change QB's after that loss to Bluefield.

Considering Union lost their starting QB;Turner has done a remarkable job of exceeding expectations without your starting QB.

These teams are about as even as you can get. I think it depends on whether or not Marion can get Ford going. As he goes;Marion goes.

Not necessarily playing up. You would get a ton of points. But playing down. Like you said;Blacksburg would have to play down vs Richlands. But you could probably get away it with for one game.

Blacksburg will have to defend the wishbone. If ran correctly can really cause some problems. Especially if you've never seen the triple option. And if JF is actually reading it. Blacksburg's defense will have to be disciplined. Also can really run some clock with it .At least that's what I hear JF is running on Offense.

So Richlands' schedule prepared them to beat Va.High 12-7? Just sking.

Wait a minute;didn't Union rush for over 300 yards. And held Riclands under 100 yards. And didn't Union turn the ball over a couple times in the red zone. Once on the one yard line. Looks to me like Union clearly out played Richlands. Just to be fair.

Plus you can play games with the punter on where Mitchell is lined up. Stack them then split them at the last second.

Why wouldn't you put 2 deep on punt return? Controls field position;even if you just fair catch everything.

Hopefully not serious enough to keep them out consecutive weeks. Really depends on who and what position they play. But vs Appomattox;they will need everyone healthy. I really feel with Giles healthy;they can give Appo a lot of trouble. Giles played Appo as tough as anyone last year.

Graham will win this one big. Looks like Allen is starting to come along in the passing game. Which was the one ingredient Graham was missing on Offense. Especially getting other receivers involved when teams double team Cooke.

Grayson Co. will be coming into this game with a lot of confidence. The question is will that long bus ride physically negate the mental edge Grayson may have?

I don't think you can just throw those stats out.Especially how those stats were accumulated. Up front in the trenches. Now, certainly one team could improve upon those one way or the other.

Depends on the record of the top 4 and what kind of schedule that 8-2 team played. In my opinion the disparity of points is skewed between the classifications. There should be a wider margin of points you receive for playing up or down in classifications. I think it is a 2 point differential now. Should be at least 4 and same with points on the loss side. Widen that margin so it discourages teams from playing down.
