You have to give FC head coach alot of credit for what he has done this year with the situation he was placed in.
Fort came out against Galax and gave it their best shot. Played extremely hard. The first half was a good game. The second half loss of brown let Galax come after the quarterback and stopped the passing game.
After laying it all out against Galax and losing Brown, it will be hard to regroup.
It didn't look good. His leg was immediately placed in a air cast. The Fort was ready to play and gave Galax everything they wanted. IMO, Coach Wingate has done a heck of a job at FCHS.
Glad that was all it was, still bad though. It looked very scary from our point of view. Fort was well prepared and played extremely hard. They wanted it much more than Galax seemed to tonight.
It's sad that teams with some of these teams record will make the playoffs...and I'm including Giles in this also...if we go 4-6 it's an absolute joke to go to the playoffs...and Martinsville will have a record worse than that...don't care who you play if you win 1 or 2 games out of 10 your season should be over
If I am not mistaken the region Riverheads plays in, only has 7 teams. So each team gets in and the top seed gets a first round pass.

You tend to troll under certain conditions on Preps or at least blindly follow others who do. I certainly hope your intentions are above board here. You may get to meet Ryan if they aren’t. This thread has the potential to go off the rails very quickly.
Richlands used cleats deemed too long by VHSL to beat Salem in 1992. I believe they were 3/4 inch cleats. I have heard Salem wore the same cleats but that part gets conveniently forgotten.

First off this was no troll post. I asked a serious question. Sixcat show me where on anyboard I troll. I will wait! The only thing I think you can refer to is when you posted about homeschool students and people corrected you. That is not trolling anyone and in no way did I disrespect you. Again I will wait. Finally I am really serious as to what happened. From the posts here I gather there was an issue that people believed that one school used illegal cleats. Was it on a nuetral field? Had it been raining? Etc
From the comment that was posted about what the 93 team could of done. Was they banned from the playoffs the next year?
I remember hearing some controversy about Richlands state championship game in the 90s. I am not trying to be a troll, I a seriously curious to hear what it was about. Can someone elaborate. Thanks
The play calling by Dixon against Glenvar was by far the best I have seen from him to date. The past few years he would run the same play multiple, multiple times a game. Ha in some games it would be the same play all the way down the field until he scored, just changed the blocking a little. He put those kids in a position as to WIN Friday against Glenvar. You had no idea what was coming and it all worked very well. If one of the QBs hadn't mishandled the ball 3 different times (all deep in Glenvar territory) would have had a different outcome. In the past it was a heavy dose of RB1 and a heavy dose of RB2 all while being pounded on by the line, then throw if needed. It was extremely fun to see what would come next. The same on defense. He ran more different blitz packages Friday night than I seen him run in the past 4 or 5 seasons combined. The lack of the afford mentioned cost them the game against Chilhowie last year. We will know more after the game against Radford Friday night. I am far from crowning Galax on anything or jumping on hype train as there is a ton of ball to be played. Although I am with Sixcat this team has different feel to it this year, and it is centered around Dixon.
1. Riverheads is not the juggernaut that they were last year by far. That was one of the best high school teams that I seen play. Chilhowie will pass on them and move the ball. The QB is a danger when scrambling as well. And they love the zone read in between the tackles which is Riverheads weekness.
2. Chilhowie on the other hand had everything roll their way Saturday, Galax fumbled twice when driving which really changed the momentum of the game. The QB threw some bombs that just landed on a dime. Not taking anything away from Chilhowie they played their hearts out but heres the thing. They had all of that go their way and still had to come from behind to beat a Galax teamin the last couple minutes, that in all honesty is a shell of the team that they have been all year after losing Peoples ( who has rushed for over 4k yards the past 3 Years. Which left Galax with 5 seniors and a bunch of Freshman and Sophomores Again not taking anything away from Chilhowie I hope they get them a ring.
