  1. Can anyone post updates of these games. Big games for all teams involved for regional seedlings!
  2. Central played well enough to win, but I agree the refs swallowed their whistles about all night, wouldn’t call the obvious fouls but called a lot of touch fouls. #20 played well for Central, not sure why he doesn’t play more, but Central has the athletes to run people to death.....pretty good bench. Guess the season comes to an end this weekend, should be an interesting end to the season.
  3. Not all Central fans are bad, trust me I have been around them for years!!!
  4. Better get there early BigWinners, I am sure it will be a packed night in the Bear Den!
  5. Central plays good basketball for short periods of time, and then they act like they have never touched a basketball and have about 10 turnovers and 10 forced shots early in the possession. They have a hard time finishing at the rim, easy lay ups are missed quite frequently. I think this game comes down to the wire and the team that hits their free throws comes away with the win. Union is playing very well right now. Good luck to both teams tonight! I’ll be there watching!
  6. Thoughts? Don’t believe this game has any implications on the final Regional seedlings, since Central lost to Ridgeview on Friday. I am definitely sure it will be a very intense ballgame.
  7. From my understanding Union will be the #3 out of M7 and Central the #5and I think travel to Grayson County.....
  8. Played small for the most part of the game!!! Bishop play most of 1st qtr, all of 2nd and 3rd qtr.....has 9 points, 2 blocks, and a few rebounds and sat the whole 4th qtr!! Why? It’s beyond me and the other fans in the stands!!!
  9. Central had the ball with 13 seconds left, throw the ball in and they are down 1 and take a three from the corner? Why would you not drive to the basket and try and draw a foul and have the other 4 crashing the boards for the possibility of a put back!!!
  10. Didn’t sit the starters, but coaching kills them every time!!! Not taking nothing away from a Ridgeview team that played with a lot of heart and determination, but it’s beyond me how a Central team with that much talent can’t win in this district. Not sure if it’s just me but something has got to give starting at the top down for Central boys basketball.
  11. Ridgeview coming to Central on Friday In a must win game for Central! What are everyone’s thoughts on this game?
  12. 13. Other plays stepping up and making big plays for the Devils!! Hats off to them on the win, hats off to Coach Moore and the Bears on a hard fought game, sounds like Moore had a pretty good game plan, things just didn’t bounce their way!! I feel Union has pretty much locked up 2nd place, as Central loses to Battle on their home court, and will be lucky to win 2 to 3 more ballgames! Somebody for the love of God tell me how you can have so much talent on one team and lose games that you should easily win? just asking for a friend.....
  14. Virginia Lady Ice is looking for 1 or possibly 2 to join our 8u travel team of girls from Big Stone Gap and Lee County. We have a great group of girls and are looking to fill our roster with 2 more players that are interested in learning the fundamentals and improving their skills in softball! Coached by Adam Bishop and Jarrod Aistrop with plans to play atleast 2 tournaments a month starting in May and through September. If interested contact Adam Bishop at 276-393-7919 or Jarrod Aistrop at 276-298-6525

  16. What have you heard Great City? I hope it’s nothing major
  17. I figured the ESPN wasn’t real, and I hope Ervin is not hurt, he has a bright future ahead of him and is a heck of a athlete....you know how rumors are they spread like wildfire, and I was just curious if anybody had any information on Ervin.
  18. Rumor has it Ervin is a game time decision because of his knee as he went to the Dr yesterday over it. Why would you risk a kids future if something is wrong, he’s got a state title, scored over 2000 points in his career, and signed a LOI to play college basketball at a D1 school. Hopefully if something is wrong Vermillion and Ervin’s parents don’t risk his future to beat Central!! Personally I hope the rumor is not true, because I never want to see a kid injured and not able to play!!! Good Luck to both teams tonight!!!
  19. I didn’t say best coaches in this region, I am not downing Cusano, Jordan, or Coach Moore, I was just speaking in general because I could care less if the man goes 0-10000000, he’s a good guy and has always been nice to me and my family! I think for what he has on his team he is doing a decent job!! Good luck to the Bears on the rest of the season.
  20. Just because you played college basketball doesn’t mean you can coach basketball at any level. Some people just don’t have what it takes to transfer it over and teach another person. Seen it many of times around this region. Some of the best coaches I have seen never played the game they coach!!
  21. Exactly.....Central’s points where spread out last night, Hayes 14, Bishop 13, Vanover 9, Stallard 6, Elkins 4, Lester 3, Collins 2, Mullins 2, Allison 1. Good team ball played last night by the Warriors, everyone stepping up at different times during the season!
  22. With the JV team being so dominant this year, why does he not pull the younger kids in 9th grade up and get them some depth and experience?
  23. Overall I think the athleticism is in favor of the Warriors. The Warriors have a deep bench and can run 8 to 9 guys in and out which may be a factor with Union just having 7 to 8 players total on the team. The lack of enthusiasm is what hurts the Warriors, a couple plays don't go their way and Coach McCamis and the Warriors tend to fold. Union has some talent with Garrison, Jones, Rasnick, and company, but the biggest thing to this game is can they run the floor for 4 quarters and finish strong. I would expect Central to come out gunning after the beat down they took from a Ridgeview team Tuesday night, but you never know what to expect from them. I know Moore will have the Bears ready to go and like Burrell's Pearls said if Union can limit second chances this could be a great ball game. Good Luck to both teams tonight.
  24. Anybody have the upcoming baseball and softball schedules?
