Wasnt trying to throw off on Lebanon, just a school their size in SWVA shouldn't have trouble fielding a team. Just curious to whats going on there specifically. The injury concern is ine facing every program in the country to some extent, so has focus on one sport. That doesnt explain(at least not to me) why a school with 500 kids cant get 30 from 10-12 to come out and play football. Neither does focusing on one sport, not at a school that size.
Its not been that long ago Lebanon was a force in Region D, playing for regional titles... well maybe it has been awhile, im getting old
Real enrollment more around 450 from what I’ve heard. Plus, a lot of athletes there specialize so if half of your top 20 athletes aren’t multi-sport then you have problems. Leb girls all pretty much play everything which accounts for the success in those sports.
I heard Bishop pitched really well. You definitely have to keep that lineup off balance. They can hit fastballs.
He did pitch well, Lebanon left a village on the base paths and ran up his pitch count but he always seemed to buckle down when he needed to and avoid a big inning.
I've not seen very much from GC fans about it. Been seeing a lot of it from other schools for whatever reason though. I think the majority of GC folks are glad to be in the final four.
The GC twitter account has gone thru and favorited just about every post whining about the venue
Wait, so kinda like how Richlands beat Graham in football a few years back and Graham was the 2 seed and Richlands the 3 when they had the same record?
It’s called a points system for a reason. Records don’t matter as much as the points you get off them do.
Graham also played the same number of games as Richlands that year. Points don’t work when the teams play different numbers of games
Lebanon has a better resume and holds the head to head advantage-seems like a no brainer to me
