  1. I don't think so. I thought he had 1900 plus change coming in.
  2. Agree, you don't have time against a team like Graham to go deep with the ball, they don't give the QB enough time and makes him scramble and forces a lot of mistakes or gets the sack.
  3. Central of Woodstock has a lot to say about that, they are big, physical and the type of team that could beat Graham because of their style of play.
  4. I agree. Central reminds me a lot of Union from what I've seen. Just a little bigger. Even their DB's are big and tall. They are the type of team that will 4 or 5 yard you to death, then bust one for 20. They don't have the speed that Graham has, but they didn't have the speed that Strasburg had either and they put a whooping on them, by winning the line of scrimmage. Going to be another dogfight next week.
  5. Central is a big, physical football team and plays very good defense.
  6. That's what I kept thinking. What was with all the different formations. Run Clements in the wildcat with that power formation, good grief.
  7. Central 13 - Poquoson 3. 3rd. Poquoson has a kicker that can boot the ball
  8. You can get tickets at this link too: https://gofan.co/app/school/VHSL?activity=Football
  9. Yes, but the VHSL has also sent a couple of card readers to the game. GHS posted that if you are unable to buy tickets on GoFan or don't want to use GoFan, that you can purchase tickets at the gate with a credit card or debit card (home side only).
  10. Just saw the facebook post. Dang, they just take over when they go on the road. Working out in the weightroom of Bluefield University, practicing on Graham's Home field, gotta give them credit, they make sure they can prepare. They come in like they already own the place.
  11. That's one of the reasons for their success. They prepare for their opponents very well and put in the extra time.
  12. Appomattox has been practicing on turf all week, studying a lot of film. Putting in extra time on the practice field. They are coming in expecting to win, they will be very prepared. Expect a dog fight. Go G-men!!
  13. Looks like the rain should be ending around kickoff or shortly after.
  14. I should have introduced myself as "Darrell".
  15. Too bad, we're not playing on that old grass field at Mitchell. Graham has been historically good in mud bowls.
  16. That was a fun game to watch. Graham was firing on all cylinders that day. I remember walking in to the stadium, the Radford coaches were getting their team fired up. One of them was pointing at Graham and yelling "Don't they look pretty?". I proceeded to yell down to the field "They are Pretty!!". They all sort of stopped and gazed at me for a couple seconds, like I was a crazy man or something...lol. Graham completely dismantled Radford that day.
  17. I agree. It's a large county in terms of area. I can see going to 3 k-7 schools and 3 8-12 High schools in the future. I would turn the High Schools into K-7 and the Middle schools into 8-12.
  18. Appomattox has won 5 of the last 7 State titles in Virginia 2A. One of the main reasons, is coaching and a hard nosed team that plays with purpose. Graham needs to keep thinking how it felt last year to lose in that title game and keep focused on the task ahead and it is a monumental task to take down Appomattox at this stage of the playoffs. As witnessed last week, Appomattox will come at you with everything they've got and with confidence. Graham needs to play hard and play smart. Limit the bone headed penalties, unsportsmanlike and personal fouls will get you beat against a team like Appomattox. Appomattox will show up to Mitchell Stadium, expecting to win the game. Graham needs to play their best football on Saturday.
  19. Appo will be out for revenge from last season too. Graham will have to play their A + game on Saturday. Going to be a dog fight.
