  1. Graham has potential to be reallt competitive for the next several years.
  2. Yeah, him and Z. Blevins were really missed against KW, they would have helped to seal the edge against KW's running back.
  3. My thought on him early on was that he would have been an excellent backup qb - if developed a little - super smart and very athletic. But, I agree, I would try to get him some more touches and Wallace at tight end a few balls thrown his way also. I guess there's just not enough footballs to go around for that crew.
  4. You may be right, but the thing about Graham's secondary is they have a lot of speed and can recover, if they do get burned. If Graham gets pressure to the QB early, it will be a long night for Ridgeview, if not, I thnk Ridgeview will have some success. However, in the 2nd half, Graham has had a tendency to wear down their opponents on the line of scrimmage and it really starts to show. I think Ridgeview has a pretty decent line, if they can withstand the pressure (and it can be intense at times). They have a good chance to win it. If not, I like Graham's chances. On the other side of the ball, I think Graham should try the power - run package they used against V-High some, if they don't have a lot of success at first. That is very hard to stop. I wouldn't pass, if I was Graham, unless I had to. They have a 2000 yard Running Back and a solid Fullback in Hughes that can run the ball, Floyd can come in the spell Clements and Edwards can do the mis-directions and end arounds pretty well. Throw it sparingly and it could be very effective.
  5. No way Graham only scores 14. If Ridgeview wins, it would be more like 42-35 or something along those lines.
  6. Graham was abysmal during 2013 and 2014. I'm curious what Palmers record and winning percentage is since he took over.
  7. Graham adjusting their defense had a lot to do with last year's loss for Ridgeview. Graham ended up winning by 4 touchdowns. That was an awful big self implosion, if that was the case. The lineplay for Graham last year was the difference and I believe it will be the difference this year. I hope Ridgeview brings their A game and it is a good ballgame going down to the wire and may the best team win.
  8. I would upgrade Graham's offensive and defensive lines from very good to "outstanding". But, I agree with the rest of your assessment.
  9. I'm a Tazewell fan and I say Graham wins - that makes 3 of us. Maybe now it's a "lotta".
  10. They will have to stop Graham’s offense too. Could be a high scoring game with whoever makes the most stops coming out on top.
  11. I agree. The amount of talent on that Radford team this year is pretty rare for a 2A team. They have 3 guys with the speed of Tydrez Clements.
  12. Final Score Appomattox 38 Radford 33 Gonna be a heck of a battle in Glenvar next week.
  13. Smart play by Appo to stay in bounds and run the clock down to 5 seconds left.... 4th and 7 Appo. I say drop back and loft a deep pass out of the end zone and run out the clock.
  14. There have been some well-timed flags against Appomattox throughout this game.
