  1. If they run out of housing, maybe they can send some a little further down 460...
  2. Hope you are correct about that!! Gotta pull forna former SWD team.
  3. They are doing the best they can with the talent they have, that's all they can do. The line play wasn't a strong point last year and they were forced to throw the ball a lot. I think they got the most they could out of it. I do think they will be improved this year and 7-3 and dangerous by the end of the season is not out of the question. The line needs time to develop this year. They have some very tough contests early on and will probably have to throw the ball around against the teams with superior lines (like Graham). Now Im doing what I accused othera of doing... Sorry Hogo folks, I'll let you folks try to get this thread back on track. .
  4. No, I know who the Isabelle kid is. The kid I'm talking about, I overheard talking at the garage while getting an oil change is the one from Texas. He was showing some of his hi-lights to one of the guys that works there. I overheard them say 6'2" and 320. I was just saying he looked every bit of 6'2". I don't know, maybe I heard wrong and they were just talking about the kid that's transferring in, but the kid I saw was big and stout looking, didn't look like 320.
  5. Every bit of 6'2" and very solid to be 320. I didn't see any fat on him. I think he will play safety.
  6. "1.6 air yard completion percentage" .....yeah, that's crap. Can I plead for the "hammer" if this crap continues?
  7. He did play some at db last season. I was at 6 of their 10 games, in the regular season and at all of the playoff games. I'm referring to this season.
  8. Again, this is a hogo thread, please start a crap talking thread of your own.
  9. Graham did that to most opponents. As you mentioned, only 2 td's allowed to SWD foes. I am a big Graham fan when not a Tazewell fan, but not every team has the luxury of athletes wanting to play for them at the moment and players that have totally bought into the program. This is a Hogo thread, however.
  10. The rich keep getting richer. Very impressive looking lineman moving from Texas to Bluefield, VA. 6' 2" 320 lbs....and has a motor.
  11. Each community has different obstacles to overcome. They certainly don't have the enthusiasm or the numbers showing up in the weight room like Graham does right now, but sometimes things take time to build. I am happy to see the program continuing to get better. Graham went through a rough period of time, but got the right pieces in place (in particular the right man for the job) and that program took off. The fact that Tazewell will have around 50 kids out this season is huge for them. Kids are starting to want to play for the Dawgs again and that's a good thing. Tazewell's ascension is slower in progression, but I think they are headed in the right direction. I don't see any seasons with 1 or 2 wins in the near future. They just have to keep building on their successes and continue to keep building on that. Winning breeds confidence. If Tazewell goes 7-3 with the schedule they play, with a win over a quality team, that would be huge for them. And a 1st round playoff win would also be a step in the right direction. I'll just be glad to be out watching the area teams play, can't wait. Didn't mean my comment back-handed. I was just messing around with you, I know you mean no ill-will and can take a little jab once in a while. Some others on here say things that are just mean spirited.
  12. Some teams aren't starting until Monday..
  13. If folks want to talk trash about other teams, then I suggest to start your own thread and call it the "I have nothing better to do then talk crap about other teams thread". Good Lord. Isnt this supposed to be about the Hogo anyway?
  14. That was a one minute clip. You have no idea what they did at practice. Quit throwing shade on the first day of practice based on a one minute clip from a radio crew. I'm sure you could tell a whole lot from that and judge an entire program for that. Gold Grief, enough is enough. Good luck to your team.
  15. Numbera have been steadily rising the past few years.
  16. Football numbers. This thread went a little sideways.
  17. I remember those days. They had those old grey and maroon band uniforms with the checkered pattern on them for it seemed like an eternity.
  18. With Practice less then 2 days away for some schools and 5 days away for others. Please report numbers here. How many kids are out for your team?
  19. Probably wont know until practice starts on Thursday. Some are starting next Monday.
  20. OK, because I "want" a whole lot of disagree. Whatever conversation you were "in on" is not the point. I dont think Tazewell should have come to Mount View after the COVID year. I think that would have left them with only 4 home games. Teams need to 5 home games to pay for the program. I think it was very reasonable. MV could have refused the request and didn't. Mt. View scheduled somebody else this year. Probably worked out best for both teams, but I don't see the programs playing each other in the near future.
