Tazewell very well may have the best athletes. Skill wise. May be better at LB as well. Richlands so far are too dependent upon Webb and Forrest to make plays.The qb is gonna play better each week. This years game should be good .
Richlands will be a little better down the stretch . Tazewell will have a much better record when they face each other . So they will be confident. Richlands will have played a much tougher schedule. If they come out of that with a couple wins they will be fine. If not. Could be a long year.
The blues were out of sink all night. Not sure if they are just down or if they need some time to develop the new qb. It’s gonna be hard for them to be above .500 during the regular season with a brutal schedule. Graham is the best team in the SWD. It will come down to the tazewell / Richlands game to determine second place in my opinion. Tazewell has the most Athletes. Richlands is well coached and has a flat stud in #4 Sage Webb and the best kicking game maybe in the state with forest. . I wouldn’t count them out if they can survive the next 2 weeks and and if they can get a 3 or 4 seed in the playoffs. We will know more after week 2. Graham’s lb Edwards is a menace and they are gonna be strong all year.
I told you about a month ago. Adkins , then Lester , Webb , Harris , Moss , meadows. Adkins is the leader. Also will get the most touches. The kid is legit.
Yes . Too much Dickell. Richlands will be a tough out for graham. But Graham will do it. Defense is tough. . Tazewell is gonna be tough. They are better than Marion and Lebanon and should finish no worse than 3rd in the district.
Kicker at Richlands is awesome. Sage Webb looks like a different kid from last year and I saw his routes today on huddle. ( Wow). But Lester & Co are flat out nasty. I’ll give them the edge at this point and I don’t count out Tazewell as high as second.
Webb was drawing double teams from the jump vs GW in a scrimmage last week. .May not get as many touches as a Lester or an Adkins in that offense , but will be in the conversation at years end.
Meadows from Graham and Webb from Richlands we’re the only 2 freshman playing big football last year in the SWD . Not just playing, but high level playing. Remember that they are both young. Don’t remember any sophomores , other than Atkins at ridge view ( who is legit ) that are making that much noise. Be glad the young guys are pushing Lester and ray. They are good . All of them. We need these type athletes . I hope they all stay healthy and push each other all season.
1. I keep hearing from folks that Lester will be a big drop off at qb and I have to keep biting my tongue. Boy will folks be surprsed.
2. Talk about your over-reaction: Before you crown somebody the top receiver in the county, they need to have some stats to back it up. (He has to have a qb to get him the ball and that is debatable at this point). Not so sure that Ray wont end up on the top of that list. The kid is dynamic and yes, i have seen them all play.
3. Most Graham fans are picking Bluefield to win in week 1 and saying the key to both teams will be lineplay. Graham fans are also saying in order to beat Bluefield they will need a near perfect game and win the game at the line of sccrimmage.
Lastly Graham could make it 4 straight against Richlands this year and possibly 5 if they meet in the playoffs.
What where their stats last year. Receiving / all purpose / yac , etc.
