I think 6 is the magic number. It’s not perfect but in most years it’ll make sure all the good teams get in. I remember in Rick Mullins first year at Clintwood missing the playoffs a with an 8-2 record. The bad part about that was Rye Cove got in with a worse record because they won the Cumberland. That was when the way class 1 &2 were split was a joke.

And to clarify, I am referring to scholarships. Something they are very stingy with up there even though they are a public university. The only one in the conference they are in.

It doesn’t matter who they hire. If they don’t spend money on the program they are going no where.

If I were them I’d call Justin Hamilton and see if he’s interested. I know he’s with the Tennessee Titans but it wouldn’t kill them to try.

Last week was a close game against GC till the 4th. Injuries have killed this teams potential but that’s part of it. Still the best 2 teams in the region will meet in Bullitt park in 2 weeks.

I think a lot of the places around here should go in house and do 8 man football. I know RV could have had 3 or 4 teams of around 15 kids each on the teams. Play 4 to 6 games and teach the basics.
