Richlands receives kickoff and throws 3 consecutive deep passes (third one was intercepted). Graham's first play was also a deep pass attempt. Clements took the next play 44 yards for a TD. Graham 7-0 early first quarter.

Roanoke Times picked up the story about Blacksburg forfeiting their Salem game. Since it's a subscription article, I'll just copy the paragraph that gives the official reason. Here it is below: In an email sent to community members, Blacksburg Principal Chris Stewart cited a high number of injuries that have left a limited number of remaining active players, and that the forfeiture comes out of caution for those athletes.

Pretty sure they are down to only a handful of healthy kids to play. The number I've heard is 12.

If I'm not mistaken, 4 fumbles for Pulaski and all have resulted in Graham points.

Graham was a penalty machine/undisciplined last year too so that is probably not going to get fixed. They were so talented last year they could overcome it. This year it remains to be seen whether they can or not, but so far they've not shown they are as talented as last year. We'll see over the coming weeks whether they can turn it up a notch, but the penalties will probably not be fixed.

Final Graham 59 Lebanon 14

Some things never change. Last year they were penalized a ridiculous amount of times but they were so talented they could overcome it. They are not as talented this year and it will likely catch up with them at some point in the season when they play some better teams.

They are one of the most undisciplined teams I've ever seen. They were last year too but were just too talented and could overcome 100 yards in penalties every game. That has killed them tonight and kept Va High in the game. It will cost them a game or two possibly the remainder of the season.
