  1. i think Gundry can drop Twin Valley though so that may be the one that swings it to 7 home since they would play @ TV by that same reasoning....so...guess it's up in the air...I just heard Coach Rowe on a pre-game interview on the radio say they had 7 or so I thought.
  2. I don't think Grundy dresses any 9th graders...unless they get a really good back or something...not 100% sure about it, maybe someone else knows..?
  3. yeah i agree with you, they should give the kids playing football time to get everything wrapped up then shift focus to basketball.
  4. wow...that would be great! I hope you are correct. I hope they drop TV, with the points system the way it is now we need to play at least AA schools.
  5. lmao...I just put the quote because it was a post or two up...was not breakin your balls or anything...lol. I screw up and say the wrong years all of the time when talking about past games and such...in fact I had to stop and think when the sniper thing actually took place when I read your post...lol. don't think I was trying to be mean...lol.
  6. Does anyone know what the schedules are for next year for the SWD teams? reason I ask is that I heard Grundy had 7 home games and I'm curious to see if that is true or not....figured if the rumor was floating around then the schedule must be also.
  7. [ QUOTE ] because of the sniper this year in the eastern part of va some of the teams did not play that week and just finished their regular season last week. so the state semi are not until next weekend so that helped eastern teams catch up with the rest of the state. [/ QUOTE ] Hurricane...not sniper.
  8. yep...the parking situation at Mitchell is great compared to the rest of the area. Sometimes the cops screw up the flow on the way out, but they do the best they can i guess...Grundy hires rent a cops that screw up everything. For one thing they should all of the school buses moved on Friday to behind the school or something and use that area to park people in rows....ah no use in bitchin about it I guess.
  9. I have a washer and a dryer for sale if anyone needs them. I'd like ot get $300 for the set. Both work well and are in good shape, I just bought a new set for about $1000 and I have no need for the old ones now. Drop me an email at lance@swvaol.com or send me a PM here if you need to know more. Lance
  10. CC had a great run this year...you guys should be very proud.
  11. I didn't assume anything...u are assuming that I assumed. Bottom line, Graham lost when it counted so your point is moot...they did not earn the right to play Liberty and you can whine all you want about it...you'll never be able to take that win from Grundy and you'll never know what would have happened if you would have won...have fun dreaming about it.
  12. Graham is off this week...they are talking about going to scout Gretna...lol
  13. UVA and WV are after him, from what someone else posted on here last week, he's supposed to be down to UT and UVA and leaning towards UVA or at least that is the rumor?
  14. This years Graham team is a LOT better than last years team...I doubt even this years team would have beaten Liberty's team last year though, just my opinion. Did you even see Liberty play last year, or are you just basing your argument on what Liberty had a couple of years ago and figure it was the same team and Graham would have stood a better chance than Grundy against them? Either way, you couldn't beat Grundy last year to deserve a shot at Liberty so it's a moot point.
  15. That's about like saying that this years Graham team is the basically the same one Grundy beat last year at Mitchell Stadium, or that this years CC team is pretty much the same as last years team. No comparison between any of the two.

    Many Apologies

Just wanted to follow that up with a "sorry" to everyone for not having the forums for the past couple of days, I know it's playoff time and you guys depend on this place for info We haven't had any downtime in over a year now and this one was a real bitch. I don't want you guys to think this is the normal way things are around here, just one of those things, it's like looking at a light bulb and trying to guess when it will burn out. Anyway...should be back to normal later today and hopefully for a long time after. Lance
  17. we are haiving Server problems with the MYSql databases on the box...we are working on it and it should be fixed later tonight or tomorrow...sorry for the problems guys, we have not had any problems in like 8 or 9 months now...so it's not going to be an ongoing thing...just requires some work and I'm going to the Graham game...lol. See you all after the game...and again...sorry. Lance
  18. hate to break the bad news, but Liberty would have beaten Graham just as badly...that was a machine, not a team.
  19. http://www.tricities.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=TRI%2FMGArticle%2FTRI_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1031772231243&path=/sports [ QUOTE ] High School football playoff predictions BRISTOL HERALD COURIER Nov 21, 3:00 AM EST Don’t count on another upset. In last year’s Region IV final, Grundy took advantage of a muddy field to control G-Man running back Ahmad Bradshaw en route to a 21-14 win. Rain is in the forecast for Friday but the field should be in better condition than last’s snowy game. In the regular season matchup on Oct. 11, Bradshaw tore apart Grundy. He rushed for 333 yards and five touchdowns as Graham destroyed Grundy 42-7. More impressive than the G-Men’s offense, however, was their stifling defense. They put the shackles on Golden Wave running backs Garon and Aaron Marcum and kept constant pressure on quarterback Theo Justus, sacking him four times. Grundy managed just 24 yards rushing on 24 carries. Although the Golden Wave should play much better this week, it won’t be enough to derail the G-Men who seem on a path straight to the state championship game. Prediction: Graham 35, Grundy 14 [/ QUOTE ] Maybe he was talking about this one in the Bristol paper?
  20. you can edit your post by going using the edit button to the left near the reply button and quote button....as far as I know anyone can edit their own posts, but I'll check to make sure that it is turned on after I finish this post. none of your earlier posts were deleted, I was upgrading the forums earlier this morning and doing a backup of the data, so if you posted during that time you probably got an SQL error or something, that would be the only reason your posts aren't showing...you are not banned and I don't have any intention of banning anyone...I simply help keep up the forum on the back end of things, G-Man runs the show as far as I'm concerned, it's his baby and I'm not going to ban anyone or mess with anyone just because I have Admin privs to do honest work with...so don't try to make it look like I'm picking on you or anything, because I'm not.
  21. [ QUOTE ] Anything can happen, but there will be no snow this time. [/ QUOTE ] I wasn't trying to single you out, you know as well as anyone that it's been said since the 4th quarter of that game ended.
  22. [ QUOTE ] Grundy person started this topic. I remember excuses from the Grundy when they lost this year, the coaching was awful or the refs screwed us (Carroll County). You have no room to talk. [/ QUOTE ] you didn't hear me say anything negative about any losses Grundy had...so yeah I have a lot of room to talk...lol. I said I just hope for a good clean game.
  23. I'm guessing that's a Graham fan trying to "Spoof a Woof"...roflmao. Edit: Oh yeah, one other thing...why does everyone have to always say something about the snow - Graham people should stop making excuses for why you lost last year, it was not because of the snow, it's because Grundy showed up and played a great game. It was snowing on Grundy's side of the field all night as well. I get sick of hearing it myself. Also, all this talk of the 3 years in a row thing, get over that as well, these two teams are not anywhere the same as last years teams or the years before that. Grundy had a much better team last year with Dillon kicking the ball, Justin Hipps running the ball, Greg Clevinger being an excellent receiver and running the ball, and Albert in the middle...they really miss that this year - 4 main players on offense and the big guy in the middle of the defense are now gone...and it makes a huge difference in this particular game I think, esp. if you are trying to compare to years past...Grundy has a very young team that has done better than anyone would have expected this year and if they can pull off a win against Graham it will be far greater than last years "Miracle at Mitchell Stadium". Just get over the snow thing from last year - PLEASE! If you do beat Grundy this year, how would you like to hear "they just won this year because it wasn't snowing" all year long...lmao. I just hope for a good clean game with no bad calls or excuses and may the best team win.
  24. CC doesn't need to throw the ball, just give it to Wengard and Beasley and watch the show. I like CC in this game. They have played 3 very good teams in Richlands, Graham, and a hard road game at Abingdon leading up to this MV matchup and i think the Graham game brought them back down to earth a little...I look for those boys to show up and try to prove something against MV, they have been crying for "respect" all year and now is where they will finally earn it. I like CC to win 42-35 over MV in a barn burner.
  25. That was probably the worst football game (conditions wise) that I have ever been to, the Graham vs. Grundy game last year in the playoffs was not as bad as the conditons were that day in Tazewell. All in all it was an awesome game to watch, felt like I was sitting in Green Bay watching one of those old 1960's films with the rain/sleet coming down in buckets...lol. If I remember correctly Grundy's QB was hurt for that game anyway...late season injuries are a killer. The game should have been at Grundy at any rate.
