Grundy always plays zone, and likes to trap out of it. As for this year they have played little or no defense at all, except for Peck and Hess. For your answer it was a match up zone.

Get behind the program instead of passing the blame. As been said on here many times by the G-man, no one is going to get out of the regions from the swd. I agree, and no coach is going to make the difference.

Can choose to wrestle LPD or be in a district by itself. I do not think castlewood or St. Paul would rather go to all parts of the country and wrestle.

But the new school board is all for it this time.

Wrestling will not have to move to any other district. They will be automatic district champs and will send 13 champions to the region d tournament each year. As for scheduling, they can go anywhere in the country and wrestle who they want when they want, without having to wrestle a weak district schedule. As for what Grundy will do is still undecided. There is alot of concern for the other sports at Grundy. There is talk of dropping softball and tennis. We now have a situation where outside coaches with no type of degree are being put in to minor sports as head coaches. Cross country was hit with a $500 fine for 22 rules infraction by a non teacher coach, who now is on the school board. JV girls basketball coach was non teacher hit with sexual warrants, replaced by school board members nephew, also non teacher. Soccer coach non teacher, golf coach non teacher. It has gotten to the point where you are running a high school program like a little league rec. league.

Or, Graham beat Tazewell by 20. Tazewell beat Grundy by 8. Graham wins by 28.

Southwest tourney changed to Feb. 23 and Regionals Feb. 29 and Mar. 1. Districts at Grundy and regions at Graham.

LPD voted 100% not to allow Grundy in. Reason given was travel. As for wanting into lpd over bdd, scheduling would be easier. As for wrestling, going to either district will only give them more freedom to schedule matches all over the state and country against top flight schools. Instead of going to a district match now, they can go back to Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Nevada, California, or tidewater area and wrestle better teams. Looks as it would be a win win stituation for the wrestling team. Anyway looks like the BDD, until the rest of the district is ready to drop down and form a district in itself.

He played the first game at Grundy, and Grundy won by 30. Either he got alot better or Grundy got alot worse.
