I could remember an afternoon edition of the BDT. I recall one time when I played Basketball for Bluefield I was getting dressed for a game and while stubby was talking to me the druel from his mouth would roll down to the end of his pipe and into my basketball shoes.

Didn't even let it sit in the bank long enough to collect interest.

A 4.0 Student with the possibility of attending Princeton University...This young man certainly has his priorities in order.

Pete Sarver is the Parks and Rec director for the city of Bluefield which owns Mitchell Stadium. I was talking to Pete last week and he told me that the Dept. Of Justice told him that Mitchell Stadium will have to have at least 101 [51 home side-50 Visitors side] Handicap accessible seating. I did not ask when this had to be done but I got the feeling it had to be done soon, but he did say that it will be expensive...Maybe some of that $5 million that the city received last month could help pay for the upgrade instead of new flowers and water fountains.

My family would disown me if I gave out his true identity...I would not be surprised if some of the people who read this board know who I'm talking about but want to save me the embarrassment of having to admit that he is family and for that I am eternally grateful!
