i disagree steelerfan the past does matter after tonights game and this season the past is all we have. if blfd. wins or not i would still rather have our past. i think our wins out number our losses against any team rep. on this board mabey against any team weve ever played more than once.

some one told me that martinsburg came down state this morning not to make the same mistake they made last week by rideing 4-5 hrs. and then playing a ballgame. staying at the holiday inn. any one know?

was such a sign in the 60's a big football you could see from the parking lot "home of the bluefield beavers aaa state champs" with the years i think 59 62 65 & 67 not sure if the years are right but you get the idea. it was stolen by a bunch of highschool kids (a prank) this i know for a fact. all of this was before the g-men used mitchell for their home stadium. i think they used to play their home games where they practace at now used to be wooden bleachers on both sides till the early 80's every bit as big as most highschool stadiums. any else remember any of this?

the city of bluefield w.v. ownes and maintains the whole city park even though half of it is on the va. side the beavers have some kind of contract with the city im sure. thats why g.h.s. is always on the visitors side when they play the beavers, thats why g.h.s. plays alot of sat. games, and thats why it is now chamara field.

blfd. gets first choice thats why graham plays alot of sat. games, because although it is a city stadium it is located on the w.v. side of the bluefield's, no conflicts that i know of except for the fact when beaver plays graham we (beaver) always get the home side. seems to be sore subject every other year.

i would be at mithell stadium tonight if this rain didn't have a name and all the media attiention with it, im sure we have all played and sat in the stands through worse, i don't buy the excuse that they didn't think would be safe to drive down in the rain weve all seen teams travel in rain and snow. what do you all think

i predict pain! we still owe them for last years regular seasons game they were very rude fans. i didn't go but the comments i could hear their fans make over the raido were relly ugly when andy bales got hurt. (drag him off the field so we can make this offical), (he's not hurt they are just trying to stop the clock) just a few i recall. forgive never forget. no predictions on the score this one gets ugly early just like the last 3.

found out tony bland will be out atleast for the woodrow game if not longer but he will be back.

i know john lilly well, this will be sort of a homecoming for him as he will have alot of family and friends on hand to see how he does. however i give the edge to the beavers speed by a score of 24-14; the beavers will have to play 4 quaters for the first time this season
