Doodle Hicks from VHS is still playing for the Cleveland Indians and will be in sinlge A or Double A this coming season. Right now I dont see anyone in this area that has big league potenial.

Who ever said Virginia High couldnt win the Cumberland district knows nothing about football. . V-High may have not beaten any Southwest district teams but they would run up the score on any Cumberland district team and I think anyone who watched them play will agree on that. As for as VHS getting more people on the all state, it may happen but I dont agree with it bein right. VHS had some really good players this past season that I know a number of teams wouold have loved to have had but Richlands should definately have more all state selections.

If it is Oak Hills top team then they will blow Twin Valley out. I know Oak Hill has a red team and gold team but not sure which is the one the big name players on

VHS is going to have a lot of talent but most of it is unproven. It will be interesting to see how these players develop this year. I think a lot of our success will depend on how 6'5" sophomore Randy White plays.

Anyone know who the VHS player was with Arms at the VT/UVA game?

Battle cant knock talk any sh*t about VHS in baseball. You all may have won more state titles recently but what happened when you all played us. VHS has the best baseball program in this area and they will back this with another great season.

I wish we wouldnt have dropped Grundy this because I guarantee we would beat you all this year, again.

I thought people on this board said Lee would beat VHS or atleast give them a good game. VHS may not be able to beat a SWD team yet but they are head and shoulders ahead of any highlands team.

I think it has to be Tom Turner at Appalachia. I mean they have had some really good teams over the years with an enrollment in the 100s. Does anyone know how many state titles he has?

Winning the Highlands is good because it is an automatic playful bid but it is not somethin to brag about especially since how much the Highlands district has declined even since 2002, when we won our first outright District Championship. VHS needs to get to where we can win the highlands and beat some outside of our district besides Battle. Hopefully we can cause some problems in the playoffs again like we did when we beat Grundy last year.

If you are coming from Graham its probably easier just to park in the parking lot at Food City. We have very little parking around the Field.

Eccleston did his party verus Richlands. Thats about as good as anybody has ran on Richlands all year. I wish he could have gotten more carries but I guess when you are several TDs behind you cant keep running the ball.

Yeah it didnt really matter because VHS still would have lost by a lot but VHS should have had 2 touchdowns and possiable 3 if the receivers could have caught the ball. I would love to been able to say that VHS is the only team to score a TD on Richlands but it just didnt work out that way. The only weakness I see in Richlands right now is the deep pass coverage but the rest of their game is so dominant that it does not really matter. Good luck Carroll County
