  1. Graham 28 Martinsville 7 I really didn't see the Graham Beaver game... I had other business to take care of that was more important to me. But I did listen to the end of it and if Graham will have an Offense like they had at the end there, and Defense come the next several weeks Graham could very possibly compare to the 2001 team... Just not a loss at Liberty... (that still makes me mad... I was almost part of a State Championship team) Im sure many of the Beavers know how that feels... Except those that graduated the same year as me... But the years before... Uhh but yea I was totally out in no where on that one... But I hope Graham does great. And just so I can mention on the Richlands, Tazewell, Graham rivalry thing going on here... Ok someone was right on how once Graham did get to the playoffs the students from Richlands and Tazewell Both did not like Graham when they were doing well... Referring back to 2001 I remember even having a few tazewell players coming by during out last game with Liberty-Bedford and talking pure crap to us telling us that we were going to lose December 2nd.... (yes I remember the day of the Graham State game... That was one of the single worst nights for me) And also on here Richlands "fans" were not saying to much kind words toward us and our State run. But either way thats fine Usually graham takes these words and just tries to prove it wrong... Haha I remember someone on here from grundy had posted a message about how bad they were going to beat us in the Playoff game in 2001. Someone from the graham team printed that post off and we Hung it up in the Team room and used that as reason to prove everyone wrong about how good we were. That is just the type of team graham is. If you doubt us will won't make it look like it bothers us. We will just take that and try and prove you people wrong. Maybe one day you people will realize that. Till then I encourage you people to keep putting graham down, Please do... Yall are just fueling a machine that just won't stop until it runs out of gas. And You people are saving them money on the HIGH Gas prices with all the fuel you are providing! So from a former Graham football player and now Graham Football fan... THank ya!
  2. I can't wait to see what the good ole boys have in store for Rockbridge Co.
  3. My first personal memory of coach was the Summer before my freshmen year. Me and my dad went over to the school to get me started in lifting weights... Well I wasn't to sure how to do alot of it and Coach came into the weight room and was showing me the basics. He was showing me how to do Squats. The way he explained how to do it, was just hilarious but from that point on Squats were my best lift.
  4. What team is it that Bluefield played this past year that had the best QB in the State of WV... Its like Martinsburg or Morgantown or something like that I know its probably more than 3 hours away but I thought that would of been a Awesome game! That or a Graham Harrisonburg rematch from 2001....
  5. Luckly, my dad lives up there so I plan on going up there to visit him Friday and him taking me... Good luck guys! I will be up there watchin!
  6. Am I guessing though on the Coach that got the penalty for saying, (as the one guy said) "Dag Nabbit" which if I am not mistaken as Ballbreaker said was really "Dag Gumit" that was Coach Marrs right... haha If so wow why did they give him a penalty for that one? He always says that.... Did anyone hear him call anyone "Bucket HEAD!" haha I love it... But yea I will actually have to see how they are this year... Just reading what yall were saying got so confusing considering it was back and forth back and forth rambling... haha but either way if what ballbreaker said about the defense is true... Maybe the defense will hold the team up this year...
  7. Ok guys common now lets not gang up on the Graham guy here. or I might have to step in here.. haha Uh but yea seriously on the whole concept that I guess it was Pocahontas being the Captial for drugs... Uh if I'm not mistake that whole atricle was relating to Tazewell County in general... There is alot of it in all the Citys.. maybe more there I dunno. But still anyway, yea I want to see how good Graham is I didn't go see the Scrimmage this past friday but I am going up to Rockbridge to see it Friday so I will be the "judge" of how well Graham is going to do this year... And no I am not trying to turn on Graham as I was commented of doing last year just because I knew before it all started how well they were going to do... I just know the game, I have been part of the game for the past.... 13 years of my life... so Yea I know about how good a team is going to be some times. I can be about ..... 70% on how good a team is going to be just by watching them one time... But none the less... I still believe they will do great this year just in general terms from what I know of them from the fact of me knowing the players and how they work. Good luck guys! I will be watching yall Friday Night! then Back to Bluefield Following Friday!
  8. They should do a CC on the left side of their chest or something like that or a CC on the helmets.
  9. I just got back from his funeral, I miss him so much already he ment so much to so many of us. We will never forget this hero to many. We love and miss coach. I love you Coach where ever you are!: R.I.P Coach
  10. I am really down about this... I really don't know what to say. I knew it would happen, but gosh... Prayers be with the Carlock family and R.I.P Coach, you are greatly and will always be greatly missed!
  11. Any word on coach as of late... I heard from a Tazewell Coach that I know said that he had heard that coach was doing pretty bad at the start of the weekend and that it was possible that he wouldn't make it through the weekend. Has anyone heard how he is doing or his status? The more I think about it, Coach was truely the best person I have ever come in contact with in my life. He did come off being a "hard a$$" on ya at times but, I know he truely ment to do that to make you tougher in the end. Every game even when it didn't look good for us he always believed in us. The beliefs he instilled in many of his players through the past many years will always be with them. You just had to be a player of his for atleast one year just to know that everything he taught on the field will help you off the field and into the many battles we as players and students of his will need to face life after we are out into the real world. Coach was truely a mentor to all of us. Whether you knew him or not he has played a major impact on everyones lives. More so to those who have ever had him as a coach or even just a counclor (sp) in school. He was always there, his door was always open. To the man that will never be forgotten in this area and all over! WE LOVE YOU COACH FROM ALL THE ALUMNI, CURRENT STUDENTS, STAFF OF GRAHAM HIGH SCHOOL, AND THE COMMUNITY! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS NO MATTER WHAT!
  12. To respond to the person who asked what D-1 Colleges those other players were at, Paco Jones is also at Marshall, behind AB. Reed Oaks well, from what I heard he went to Mars Hill (if thats hows its spelled) in NC. But he droped out and now is back here in bluefield and is playing for the Barrons. Ringstaff I'm sure someone from Richlands knows that one... But If I'm not mistaken didn't he go D-1 here in VA... But there ya go Haha ohh and I know not in competition with the Top 5 but I mean you said Paco and Reid Oaks... So J.R. Wilson should be in with atleast those two. And J.R. if I'm yet again not mistaken is going to UVA Wise...

    G-MEN!

Well it was kinda a whole team thing running from one side of the field like to a group... So for all I know it was cause it was a big boy... And Justin is a big boy so... I think it was him.
  14. Haha ok ok... My biggest memory was me and my buddy used to always hit on the boards and one day when we hit I took a huge chunk of the red off his helmet with mine and then again he had a huge yellow mark down his from mine and face mask was down to the metal but haha its all good... maybe not that I always went head first or face first into a hit... But I learned that from Jason Mullins haha He knocked my head around a few times with that then again he also showed me a good reason not to go with my head first. As he called it, "Eatin Sh*t" haha then he would sit on me. But that was when I was younger and smaller so... Oh well
  15. Welp a good word before I head off to the old dusty trails. Have fun on Day Two... Graham Boys I may be out to see yall before I head out for a day with the lil woman. But Yall keep strong and keep coach in mind!
