Just checking to see if any old Blues are interested in playing in the Alumni Game??

This post is cool but I would still put my money on the 92 team...with some guys that didn't get near the credit they deserved.. He sounds like a certain Running back that played for Richlands as a soph by the name of Jeremy Mccommons..He was definately big for his age and by the time he became a senior he was a beast..Not extremely fast but ran extremely tough..dished out punishment on would be tacklers..

I think that it would be a great game, however I think that our 92 team probably would win the battle. Our defense was too strong to give up that many points..We held some great teams to low points including Powell Valley, Gate City, Graham, and Lebanon. I believe all of those teams went on that year to at least win the regional championship except for graham. And our offense controlled the ball so good..But again, I think it would be a GREAT GAME. I would of loved to played them... Smitty

Yeah man Easy on the 92 blues...We do have some pretty nice jewelry from that year, that we, like this years team, worked our butts off to obtain!!!

I have played against Coach Carlock's teams many times but I never had a chance to meet him...But I did play with some of his players while I was at Clinch Valley College and I could tell that they were Disciplined and very well coached..but more importantly they were good people..And I know from Experience how a coach can affect the lives of everyone in that lockerroom..GOD BLESS TO COACH CARLOCK AND HIS FAMILY AND TO ALL THAT HE HAS TOUCHED THROUGHOUT THE YEARS!!

Yeah, Stevie definately belongs up there too..In fact, I would say that Stevie Dye is probably the best pure athlete to come out of that school in the last 20 yrs!!! Whether it was football, baseball, or even basketball..We grew up together and he was a sophomore when I was a senior and he led our team in homeruns with like 9 or 10, and we were loaded that year..everyone in our starting lineup had at least 2 homeruns..

1. Adam Lallande - big, strong qb 2. Timmy Brown - most athletic qb 3. Terry Monk - smartest qb could read the belly blindfolded

Another good running back that I played against from grundy was tim rutherford..he was a tough runner..he had a big fullback blocking for him in todd coleman

I think the Blues will win, heck we would of went to the State Championship last year if we could of covered a back out of the backfield....but that was last year...I feel that whoever has the toughest defense will win the district and the blues should be tough..I watched the Gate City game last year and I told my friend that was with me that Richlands was going to be tough to beat. It wasn't the offense that impressed me it was the DEFENSE.

Surface was a heck of a runner, and I agree Reed probably should be up there too, I just had forgot about him..but what about Rogers...he's gotta be in the top 5
