  1. yet again, olewave is goin at it.. haha.... just end the trash and be ready to play ball... olewave, come watch us this year since you have such bad faith..:D
  2. lmao.. first off, joe is a good basketball player... all because he quit football, that doesn't mean he is a bad person and is going to quit basketball too.. and, i think that joe could be a surprising player this year also, should be a good, young Grundy team.. It's about ball-time!.. also, i respect joe's decision to quit football... good move for any multi-sport athelete.
  3. yeah, it's comin VERY soon... cant wait!
  4. lol.. i love that awesome spellin ya got.. you spelled at least 6 words wrong and even used them wrong in that one little paragraph lmao... but, it'll be a close season for the SWD.. i dont see a team that is LOADED with absolutely great talent and runnin away with it.. it will be close.
  5. i second that go wave! ...
  6. Officially a month to the date until the coaches can start practicing the area high-school players and get them ready to play.. just an over-look from last season and thinking of the returning players.. who will win the SWD Title in '06? and why?
  7. ACC football can be VERY confusing.. i guess that is why it is the best conference to watch in the NCAA... after N.C. State beat 2 ranked teams, Wake Forest comes in and beats N.C. State to start out 6-1... it is really confusing and almost a mystery, but, fun to watch
  8. haha... good joke... it'll be close though.. they do have some young, good players... but, thats just it... they are young.. full of a lot of sophmores... and is gonna be tough to compete with some experienced, senior-loaded teams... the ACC is gonna be tough this year also... even Virginia should be ranked at the end of the year, gonna be tough to go undefeated in the conference... Florida COULD do a re-peat, but, the same thing for them, they are in the toughest conference in the nation.. the SEC is loaded yet again.. i think it may be between UNC and Florida thought, but, dont count your chickens before they hatch .. my UK Wildcats could surprise a few people.. haha... <---wishful thinking!
  9. if you go to.. www.radioblogclub.com , you can listen to almost any song there is for free... just type in the name of the song or artist, and a big playlist comes up... awesome site for some free music.
  10. LMAO.. AAU basketball a waste of time? why do i think that is one of the dumbest statements i have ever heard..??.. i played my 7th grade year and that improved me more than ever and we (BBF) even get to go to Nationals this summer to participate in a national tournament after placing in teh Commonwealth Games... there is No Way! that AAU is a waste of time.. but, this is a wrestling board.. back to wrestling.. after the schools all joined, like everyone has said, they loose their competitive spirit... instead of having the Vansant Vikings vs. Big Rock or something, it is Riverview vs. Riverview... they dont have the competitive feel in it... just my opinion.
  11. not a geek... but, 0.7 lmao UK or Duke?
  12. down with the sickness- disturbed for those about to rock- ac/dc basketball- jock jams (most of the song anyway.. some of it's not too good) thunderstruck- ac/dc enter sandman- metallica lets go- trick daddy, lil jon lips of an angel- hinder... LMAO.. just jokin. kickstart my heart- motley crue just a few of the many that can get a person pumped up... i just like anything with a good beat to it and isnt really fast till bout 30 seconds into the song... then gets really fast... those songs are awesome.
  13. enough of the trash talk, just sort it out on the field.. but, Grundy should be hyped up from homecoming and Abingdon should be determined after the BIG win... it could be a close one, as long as Grundy keeps the turnovers down and plays good in the secondary.
  14. Jennifer Anniston College or Pro Basketball?
  15. just a few to name: jimmy ashby, matt baldwin, ben mulkey, and maybe even garret horn... it'll be tough for him to run the point for a slightly unexperienced Twin Valley basketball team.
  16. Jimmy Ashby... Center... great center.. knows his position on the court and understands his role year after year... better watch out for tha big fella.. he and the rest of grundy is ready to up-set a lot of teams this year.. good luck coverin Too-Tall..
  17. i agree... Grundy Girls J.V. is outstanding.. David Peck is one coach that is really committed to basketball in grundy.. he is in the gym every night and works with girls from 1 grade or so and works with them till they are ready to leave for varsity... he puts a lot of time and effort into it.. i give lots of props to david.. -the varsity team this year, he worked with almost all of 'em all their lives and that is where they got today-.. great coach and a great person... ask anyone in grundy..
  18. i agree... both teams are in the process of re-buildin.. but, for the game.. i think it would be an awesome idea.. i hate that they ended it in the first place.. 2 hard-hittin teams that just go out and give it their all.. cant beat it.. i think it'd be great to play 'em.. any truth to this though?
  19. I think that Grundy will be a team to compete with next year, they have returning: Jimmy Ashby, Bobby Peck, Cody Billiter and Colby Raines... they are pulling up all 5 J.V. starters who have got some experience in team camps this summer... only has 1 freshman comin' up to varsity next year, but, is loaded with good and atheletic sophmore and juniors... should be another good year for the Golden Wave!
  20. it was a good camp... there were 11 varsity teams: Grundy, Twin Valley, Hurley, Midland Trail (won tourney on last day), Winfield (left early), Lee High, Northwood, Page Co. and that is all i can remember for now... they had food to serve all weekend and some really good games went on... good camp... i'd suggest it for a coach that is looking for what he has on his team.
  21. well, i saw that one coming haha... what was the score of the girls game anyone? i didnt make it last night...
  22. I expect both the boys and girls to be great games... the Grundy girls beat Twin Valley girls in OT at the Ramey's Classic last week, but, Twin Valley was hitting anything they wanted to shoot from outside, it was a great game, I expect to see another one like it tonight.. also, the boys game should be close and a really competitive game... if anyone can remember, grundy girls coach.. Coach Christian.. coached the group of boys that are seniors now in 8th grade and went undefeated... which means they beat Twin Valley, so, I expect to see two good, close games tonight... I will definetly be there...
  23. well, it is really hard to tell... but, the way Twin Valley is playing.. they will be tough to beat.. with the switch of theo and tigh at Grundy.. they are looking to be a great team that plays good team ball.... apparently, Richlands has to be pretty good to stay with Twin Valley the way they did... but, for other teams, i guess time will tell...
  24. ya, that was truely a great game... twin valley's three's was really all that kept them in it.... but, without a doubt, the best dunk of the rameys classic was the dunk by that kid from Bishop McGunius... as soon as he crossed the half court, he was already getting ready and when he got to the left side at about the second block in the paint, there was a kid there that was trying to draw a charge... he just jumped up, put his hand on his head and threw it down with his right hand (the kid was left handed)... it was the best dunk i have saw in person in a really long time.. but, the outcome of the play wasnt so good.. they called a charge and their coach got ejected... but, it was still a great dunk!
  25. yes, they may have beat us.. but, we didnt start 2 of our starters and we had to play back-to-back.. and we just hapenned to get into double OT with Carrol the game before and had no time to rest.... we were just too wore down and they had some kid that wasnt missing nothing next to the end... but, if it would have been a game when we didnt play back-to-back.. it would have been close and maybe we could have won...
